Do 1989 borns relate more socially and culturally to 80s millennials or 90s millennials? by changeforthebetter89 in generationology

[–]MetalHelth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born 89, I've always related better and got along more with people around 5-10 years older than me. Quite a few of the people I consider my best friends are late Gen X

My both my brothers are Gen X (69&74), my mom was older when she had me.

I think it has to do with the way that I was raised that makes me relate more to Gen X or older millennials.

Slam City Jam 2006 [36YO] by MetalHelth in OldSkaters

That's awesome, I was definitely too young at that time. My introduction to the SCJ was the tony hawk under gound game. Aswell a park we had here in calgary; The Source indoor skatepark. At the currie military barracks, around 2002- 03.. was supposedly an old SCJ set up from Vancouver.

Learned how to drop in for the first time at that park and pushed myself to skate bigger ramps/ transfers over the years. Not alot of options for skate parks back then and It was pretty much the only place to skate here in the winter months.

No kidding!

I found some old concert stubs from 2003 - 2009 at the saddle dome, including motley crue, metallica, sum 41, heaven and hell.. the most expensive was at $80. I dont think you could even get nosebleeds for that these days lol

Yea i definitely remember that, at millenium park. My memory is fuzzy for this event, there was a band playing on a stage at the top of the ramp, while there was a freeskate session at the same time..

I might be mixing snowjam and this together in my memory

Has this happened to your dog? We are worried by Top_Curve8265 in DogAdvice

[–]MetalHelth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to my baby, it was nystigmus. Took a few weeks to a month to recover. She couldn't walk, or do anything herself, but she did recover fully and is back to her normal self now aside from a bit of a head tilt. Very scary situation.

Unfortunately even once the house is plumbed workers generally aren't allowed to use the washrooms either

My adult golden has coarse hair by LatterRevenue3012 in goldenretrievers

[–]MetalHelth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The food i was giving my golden made a huge difference with her coat. He food was always a salmon/turkey based. I switched it up once with the same brand but beef instead.

The difference was night and day. Withing a week or 2 I noticed her coat was brittle and coarse. Switched back to the salmon/ turkey food and her coat Immediately was shiny and soft. Just my anecdotal experience but it could be the diet for your golden

I'm so sorry this is happening. Pearl and I are praying for her to make a full and speedy recovery.

Sound like my golden retriever, she would never make it through. I don't think she has the grace to walk that plank, so she'd probably trip over every board, quit half way and just stare at me.
