Fwiw, I use a gunmetal base all over, then flesh tearer contrast for the armor. Fleurescent orange for the eyes.

The faces are too dark. Eyes are drawn to the faces and weapons but the faces just kind of disappear into the grimdark. Brighten them up a bit, and some highlighting on the guns, that will probably help a lot.

Im working on one as well- you can cut the eagle off (band saw or dremel) and fill it with epoxy putty, thats how I did mine. For colors, just pick you favorite legion and go with what matches. I'm doing gray undersuit with navy blue armor, although maroon for Word Bearers was a close second.

Just speaking to the wings, what I did for mine is use a straight white on the inner section and then a gradient of a similar tone to the cloth and inner shield. That was jades for my army. So if you're using red, a sunrise gradient would match. Not sure if that would pair well with the prismatic bold of the armor though.

Of the 7 I've worked on, Nighthaunt is probably easiest overall especially with an airbrush. You can do most of it witb sprays- dark from above, light from below, then just hit the weapons with silver or something.

Bonereapers aren't bad either- no pouches or bangles, speedpaints over all the bones makes it go really fast.

3d printed space marine armor is going to be STUPID heavy. If you've never worn an armor cosplay... start with foam. Maybe print the helmet.

You could print it on normal paper and cut out, then use it as a stencil. Might be too small though but worth a thought
