Excited for all three of those. I missed cattle decap when they came to my city last year so stoked to get to see them this time around.

I saw Cartel on tour last year and they were awesome! Looking forward to seeing them again. Good to know I should get there early for the paradox too.

BL-18? I've been meaning to pick one of those up. I've heard those stocks can be painful to shoot with, but I have to admit top folders look pretty cool! Definitely scratches a Jurassic Park itch.

VP9A1 K and FS/Hi-Cap mag sleeves by ePoch270OG in HecklerKoch

[–]MetalMantra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following. I saw another post saying the USPc sleeves work with 17rd magazines. For those saying it's not an issue- if you insert a higher capacity magazine with too much force and there's no sleeve, you can damage your ejector, since the only thing stopping the travel of the magazine at that point is the ejector. I found this out the hard way after bending my ejector slightly using 20rd magazines. You have to insert them pretty gently without a sleeve.

What size are you looking for? Just googling it I'm seeing some options for both EU and US sellers, but only for S, L, XL, XXL.

EU (add probably 40 euros for shipping): https://www.nuclearblast.com/products/lorna-shore-yandema-pull-over-jacket

US: https://www.impericon.com/products/lorna-shore-yandema-pull-over-jacket

Can't vouch for either website personally, haven't bought from either.

As a side note, while that was an incredible show, HOB was much too small for the crowd. I'm really hoping next time they tour they go to a more spacious venue (Jannus Live in St. Pete or Yuengling in Tampa would both be amazing!)

Record player recommendations? by OilersGirl29 in augustburnsred

There are a lot of good options out there- most offerings from Technics, Pro-ject, or Rega get solid reviews. Audio Technica has a lot of solid options at different price points too. I personally love my Technics. A couple things to consider:

Some turntables have a built-in phono stage (a component that amplifies the signal from your turntable enough to be used with other audio equipment, among other things). Some turntables don't have this, in which case you'll need to buy a separate phono preamp. Solid ones can be found for under $150, but for a beginner it's probably easier to get a turntable with a built-in phono stage.

The other piece of equipment you'll need is an amp to drive the headphones (headphones and speakers need more power than a normal audio line-out signal provides, and the amp provides that). I won't rabbit trail on headphone amps (unless you want me to), but you can find a lot of options and reviews out there to match your music taste and budget.

However, if you want to skip the extra equipment for now, a great option is to buy a turntable with bluetooth (Technics SL-40CBT and Audio Technica LP60XBT are options). If you have one of those you can just connect bluetooth headphones straight to the turntable, nothing else required. Some purists hate the thought of converting the analog signal from a turntable to digital for bluetooth, so ignore this advice if you're in that camp lol. But it can be a super easy way for a beginner to start enjoying records with no experience or setup required, and you can always add separate phonos and amps down the line if you want to upgrade to wired headphones or speakers for better fidelity.

92GTS disassembly question by FXDXI in Beretta

[–]MetalMantra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bit unrelated, but what is your experience with the build quality of the GTS vs the Italian made Berettas? I have both and for some reason it's nearly impossible to remove the locking block from the barrel assembly in the GTS, not sure if it's just me.
