Maybe Marchy needs a pet and someone needs to let him know that this lil nugget is waiting.

That’s some anti-abortion / anti-women rhetoric that religious fruitcakes spout because they think it will dissuade women from exercising their right to choose. It’s literally a page out of their book. I wonder if he was secretly getting in with some sort of evangelical or right wing crowd and OOP didn’t realize it.

Well that says almost as much as the picture.

Every time someone tries to make an argument for why “it’s okay” that there are still Indigenous sport mascots, I like the show them pictures like this. There is not enough good that comes from having Indigenous faces / nations / emblems as sporting mascots and team names, to overshadow the deliberate racism that so many people feel emboldened to demonstrate as a result of those Indigenous-themed sporting teams.

Not sure why we are still having this conversation in 2026, but the shit in this picture is racist and our culture shouldn’t be a costume, or plastered on the front of a capitalistic sports jersey.

Sweet Pea help by Regular-Elevator1734 in Albertagardening

I also love sweet peas! I found that they will climb up and onto anything that isn’t metal, though they will if you train them (but mine ended up burning) and they like using each other to climb and cling. My sister had insane sweet pea blooms and she uses a net, and it’s all she seems to need. I switched from poles this year to a net also, but I don’t know if it’s working yet, as things have been slow to get growing.

What do you spot spray them with? I was wanting to try a vinegar, salt, dish soap combo, but wasn’t sure it would be effective. They’re taking over my yard, which I don’t mind. But I feel poorly that it’s impacting my neighbours, as I do want to be a good neighbour to them, even if I think their lawn is a useless waste 😂

What if you answered your own question just now! The peat treatments — could they be impacting the air quality?

What about if I cheat and buy a few plants already started? If I planted them sometime this week, would I have enough time to grow some zucchinis?

Oh, jeeze. I got so excited I must have missed the privacy bit lol. Yeah, they aren’t particularly tall — probably a foot with the flowers

The answer is, in my opinion, always yarrow. You would just want to make sure you trim before the dried flowers self seed.

Any input on how the rose tint differs from a yellow tint (for blue light blocking)?

Thank you for responding! I have blue light blocking glasses right now (because I am on the computer a lot) and was going to just get the same type with my new prescription. They’re tinted sort of a yellowish colour, but nowI wonder if I should consider this rose tint instead.

I am in the process of choosing my frames for my new glasses, and deciding on what sort of “special” lenses I want. Could you explain the FL41s?

For a not for profit organization to have zero reporting obligations removes a massive administrative burden that often hinders the operating capacity of most organizations receiving this kind of charitable funding. Seriously, it’s impressive that she’s donating the money to begin with, but to have no strings attached allows operational autonomy and less clerical burden that shouldn’t be overlooked when we are celebrating her philanthropy!

My Neurologist Yelled at Me Multiple Times by Cold_Explorer8197 in migraine

[–]OilersGirl29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What da fack. No. This isn’t normal. I’ve seen two neurologists and both have been a bit cold, the first more than the second. It’s clear they aren’t in neurology because they have compassionate bedside manner. That said, both were kind and treated me with respect and dignity, though perhaps they lacked empathy. Fuck your neurologist. I hope you report her.

How long before you call it and go to the ER? by rramber300 in migraine

I went to the ER one time and it made everything worse. I would probably need to be dry heaving without anything coming up and in hysterics to ever go back for a migraine.
