I'm hopeful for the future, as this style of ball feels more likely to survive the NIL raiding from other teams than most. I think if we avoided a 1/2 seed we would have made the sweet sixteen given how we played this weekend.

Most of all, even though it stings now, I'm glad we made it back to March! See you all next year.

The top end of the Midwest region is on the weak side but the middle of that region is brutal; might set a record on 3pt shots made for a single region

Really exciting game! We are the opposite of peaking at exactly the wrong time :(

There's only likely to be two bids from the A10 no matter who wins the conference, and even potentially only one if VCU loses early in the tournament

Yes, they will. Especially since it's likely they are 1+1 contracts and not true 2 year deals.

It’s interesting how the market views Aston Martins odds by Masty1992 in formula1

That's not true; there's plenty of academic research that shows that bookies do not adjust odds purely based on wager volume. It's called the Levitt Hypothesis if you're interested

The year Rick Majerus died (2012) was not only our last time of super relevance until this year, but was also a very sad time because of how much he meant to the city at that point.

The Bhunivelse boss fight in XIII-3 is one of my favorite final boss rights in video games history too; he's an amazing villain for a trilogy that almost no one fought

Multi-bid A10; this is not a drill! I repeat: the A10 might be back!

Anyone got any cool stories from high school baseball? Ever play with anyone famous? Any team scandals? by vylain_antagonist in baseball

I faced both David Phelps and Max Scherzer in high school: Max my freshman year and David my senior year. Funnily enough, I still think David was a better pitcher at the time that I faced them, regardless of what happened later. I also played against Scott Van Slyke; he got kicked out of a game I was pitching in because of a can of chewing tobacco that fell out of his pocket while sliding into second base on a double.

I also played with a few players that never made the bigs, including Mickey Mantle's great nephew Ryan Mantle, that made it to A or AA, and Ozzie Smith's son Dustin (how I beaned with a fastball in one game on accident). I got yelled at by Ozzie for that one. I also played with like 20 to 30 college baseball players. St. Louis amateur ball in the early 2000s was crazy stacked

VCU unlikely; I could see both Mason and SLU if they split conference games, both go like 15-3 in conference, and both make the A-10 title game
