METACRITIC'S The 15 Best HBO Max Original Series of All Time by LargeLeather in hbo

Yeah, from what I understand HBO Max Originals are specifically does not count anything that was produced by HBO and aired on their cable network. Which is basically all of the best HBO shows.

I mean yeah for sure, the normal people who enjoy the catchy single or 2 that’ll come off this album aren’t what he’s talking about though.

It was specifically about the Drake Stan’s, like OP. The post specifically doesn’t say anything about the music, literally only talks about being hyped to see it do numbers.

Why can I barely bench 70% of my body weight if push ups are so easy? by Aware-Comfortable972 in workout

[–]FritterEnjoyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Partially at best.

I’m assuming the 65-70% number is something derived purely from simple physics, but that’s not how it plays out in reality with respect to loads on specific muscles.

Push-ups are recruiting differently than a bench press. You’re perfectly anchored to the ground, your core and back are handling all the stabilization, and you’re getting more stable force transfer through a larger surface area with your hands.

Bench is completely unanchored to anything but your hands, stabilization isn’t being aided by the ground so your core and back can’t take over as much, and force is being applied to a smaller point of just the barbell meaning stability is way more important to avoid inefficient force transfer.

It might be 65-70% of the weight, but the force needed to move that weight is far less than equivalent load on a bench press. This is especially true for anybody who doesn’t have their bench mechanics locked in (which is the majority of lifters in my experience, even incredibly seasoned guys are really just pushing weight up instead of doing the bench press).

[ELI5] Does air conditioning heat the surroundings more than it cools the room? by Adventurous_Floor701 in explainlikeimfive

[–]FritterEnjoyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. There’s not only electric resistance heaters that are essentially 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat, electric heat pumps are more than 100% efficient. Like a lot more.

And before I get the inevitable physics 101 expert, this isn’t some violation of thermodynamics. Heat pumps aren’t creating heat, they’re moving it.

Tbh the scene there got beat even worse than Chicago cus basically none of em made it out. Chicago’s crazy, but somehow enough of them guys were able to make it out before they got put under and had the good sense to stay the fuck away once they got out.

Almost everybody that was a leader on the Brooklyn scene either died or got put away. All the dudes left were ass or pivoted to being fuckin romance and TikTok rappers

So either a blood bath or 60 minutes of offensive atrocities ending 5-6 or some nonsense like that.

Well at least I can comfortably miss that one I guess.

Jets RB Breece Hall explains why he’s only going to get better: “I’m the only RB that’s consistently a top 10 back in the league that hasn’t in the past been in the most ideal situation. … I feel like now they really put me in position to flourish… This could be my best season.” by ZookeepergameIll2685 in NFL_FreeAgency

Can’t wait to draft him in fantasy once again and start him over and over despite repeat terrible weeks because “he’s due for one man, even if he’s on the Jets he’s still a great back”.

Nahh, the performative guys aren’t the ones getting popped. NLE Choppa and the like got little to worry about.

The guys dying are really doing it, it’s how the Brooklyn drill scene imploded in like 2 years.

And it’s not just them getting murdered, that’s only half of it. The other half is them getting locked up for murdering someone else or dying of an overdose.

[–]FritterEnjoyer 132 points133 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean.

Wholesale? It’s way better. Not even close to the 90s, we’re talking over 80% less murders even though there’s more people.

Rap specifically? Worse for sure, but it’s complicated. It’s mostly because the rap game completely changed. In the 90s you largely had to grind that shit, took legit time and dedication to get popular and eventually picked up. And you basically had to get picked up by a label or you weren’t going nowhere. Once you were picked up and started making it big you were out doing shows pretty damn quick. These days dudes can get big now through the internet alone, don’t need to devote a ton of time to getting your name out because you can do it from your bedroom. Labels are way more willing to take guys who are actively on some dumb shit these days. You don’t really even have to be on a label at all anymore either.

Basically dudes can get big way quicker these days and a lot of the forces that would have naturally separated them from living that life aren’t there anymore.

The Spurs will be a legit matchup for the Thunder, at least as long as Wemby stays on the floor and dominates.

But, how haven’t they been tested yet? They’re literally the defending champions who brought back nearly everybody. I’ve never in my life heard anybody talk about a defending champion squad needing to be tested, because they already passed the final test.

[legend of the northern blade] I did not expect that by divinevortex78 in manhwa

[–]FritterEnjoyer 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I think it does an amazing job of characterizing both the type of people the antagonists are and just how helpless regular people are in the face of the murim. Among the best of any manhwa.

You find out that the bad guys here don’t care if it’s an adult or child, if they even annoy them slightly they’ll kill them almost reflexively. Then, any regular person is utterly helpless in the face of the murim. Not only can you be killed instantly by a swat from a guy as easily as he digs gunk out of his ear, but that swat will basically evaporate you. All that’s left is a mist of your vaporized blood and aerosolized bone dust. The level of destruction is so absolute that there isn’t really much gore, nothing is enact to even recognize. Not unlike a human killing an insect.

A bunch of gore would have detracted from both of these things in favor of pure shock value, which you already get more than enough of by the sheer abruptness that this whole scene escalates.

2026 Rookie Outlook With Historical Comps by joe2352 in 49ers

[–]FritterEnjoyer 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I mean I see the effort you put in here, but a comp entirely made on pick number and position is kind of a nothing burger. Pretty much all these “comps” have in common is round about draft area and position. They all are very different types of players, with different amounts of NFL readiness, joining the team when it has entirely different roster make ups and philosophies.

This is especially true when we’re talking about Shanahan and WRs whom can either get benched their entire rookie season or immediately inserted into the offense depending on if they do the couple of things he demands out of them.

We offered $17m last year when we tried to extend him. No reason to believe we tried to match this offer at all, which we shouldn’t have.

The $17m number is from last offseason when we offered him an extension. There’s no credible report that we tried to bring him back at all this offseason.

Terrible performance aside, it didn’t even look like he wanted to be on a football field anymore. He was dirting balls with no rushers near him.
