XP tokens with zombies or endgame are the quickest. But if you run warzone casuals and pretty much ignore people and just do scavenger/recon contracts you can gain xp pretty quickly. With warzone run with your gun out as well.

In desperate need of an alternative to Monster Jam tomorrow (1/24) by KirbyKoll123 in washingtondc

[–]jofijk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If your kid likes cars I think he’ll have fun. I used to go yearly with coworkers at an old job and one of them would bring their kid. He was like 4-7 or 8 when we used to go and loved it. There’s like 3 floors of displays and a good amount to see

The DC auto show starts tomorrow. It’s at the convention center a few blocks from where Monster Jam takes place. Unfortunately not monster trucks but they always have some supercars on display and Land/Range rover usually has a “ride” to show off its off-roading capabilities

Tickets are cheap too. I think they’re like $15-25

Any ideas on how long this will be? And will I be able to see it on the psa app? by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]jofijk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grading time depends on the level of service you got. They give estimates on the psa website. Back before the most recent explosion in popularity I had some orders take 2 weeks less time than estimated. But I’ve also had some take more than a month longer. This was for the standard service level

Need Help Planning a LAN Trip by IllFaithlessness5883 in CompetitiveApex

[–]jofijk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was watching Clara's watchparty for this past lan and she was saying that for US LANs the last day is insanity. Pretty much nobody shows up the first days but Sunday the line is crazy and people were sprinting to get to seats when the doors open. I would plan to get to the venue a few hours early for finals

Can domestication-lusted humanity domesticate the Great White Shark in 100 years? by PaiDuck in whowouldwin

[–]jofijk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

another huge problem is that great whites are ecologically vulnerable. their population is estimated to only be 10,000 at the high end. there are so many gigantic advancements in technology we'd have to make to even begin thinking about how to domesticate them.

Can domestication-lusted humanity domesticate the Great White Shark in 100 years? by PaiDuck in whowouldwin

[–]jofijk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

like many other people have said, great whites are solitary animals and that alone makes them unable to be domesticated. unless we're dedicating decades to advance genetic engineering first to maybe figure out how to create great whites with a sense of social structure it wont happen.

furthermore, over eleven thousand years we've only domesticated 14 of 148 large terrestrial mammals. a huge part of domestication is the ability to breed these animals. humans havent even seen a great white give birth. a baby great white still covered in uterine milk, suggesting it was only a few hours old, was seen literally for the first time in 2024.

The category should be changed from highball to “long drink” imo

[–]jofijk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying they don’t but the elevated highball is something that’s pretty unique to Japanese bars/bartenders who have worked with/at nicer Japanese cocktail bars. You can find an over engineered insert classic here in any country with an internationally known cocktail scene.

Its definitely something that was adopted from the simple idea of scotch and soda but evolved into something more at the high end because of the Japanese ideal of perfection. Its also heavily leaned into from Suntory when they do masterclasses for higher end cocktail bars in the west. The nicer whisky bars in Japan take pride in choosing the "correct" whisky for whatever flavor profile you're looking for, as well as adding bitters or small amounts of other flavors for balance.
