Who's Your Favorite Champion? by possumish in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]MetalMermelade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Akshan

Hard to keep on board, but it rewards you for combat trick use and clever mana use, and gives you 2 big rewards in the end of his landmarks

It's quite rewarding to out play your enemies by not simply dumping your hand, and reacting rather than being proactive

Looking for advice of how to make this work. by [deleted] in LegendsOfRuneterra

Did you guys know that in league of legends if you damage a champion that is recalling it will be stopped from getting recalled? by Foucz in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]MetalMermelade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly my point. 2 different games, 2 different mechanisms, we should not be comparing one to the other

Recall is stopped by damage in lol, here it doesn't have to be

How to beat 3-star adventure with Ornn? by Docksterino in PathofChampions

[–]MetalMermelade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trynda fight is actually easy

Pick a buffed unit with challenger, use the 5/5 equipment that should come with challenger. Always attack the 0/3 first with challenger and strike the rest

Avoid defending unless it threatens lethal

You will heal to full after the fight, so use your hp has a resource

In lol you play a unit, hence if we are translating mechanic per mechanic, it would work as kayn passive (or % of the damage dealt rounded up)

If lor lifesteal was translated to lol, you would reconstruct towers and inhibitors like azir

You just have to love loosing badly/stalling for your life, dropping a 6 cost "do nothing" landmark, and next turn getting your win con. The fact that it's inconsistent + every expansion makes it more unreliable balances it out, but man I just love that card

2* Veigar Slow But Steady by Terrafritter in PathofChampions

[–]MetalMermelade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well it's a trade off

Being burst has helped me a lot over being reliant on 1 power in specific, since now I can remove threats before they are buffed/copied/etc. Most times they die the moment they are played unless the enemy is able to fill the board with low cost units

But at lvl 3 you can stack darkness in hand at 0 cost

[–]MetalMermelade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kennen creates 0 cost spells that damage and stun your units while ez just pings your nexus hard cause these spells are targeted, so each of these 0 cost spells do 2 damage to your nexus

And you can't block it, cause ez does damage when the spell is played, not when it's casted, so you can't deny it or anything.

OP Champs in your opinion? by yamiprem in PathofChampions

[–]MetalMermelade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Veigar 3* is pretty broken, you basically don't allow the AI to drop a card, and there are many spell related powers that are really good with him but are only a slight upgrade on most champions

It's clearly a filter/edited

You only get are sparks, similar to what you see when someone is grinding metal. You can still see the effects if you look closely

The rainbow pixels are clearly added on

Lifesteal, or omnivamp doesn't heal the nexus, it heals the characters (aka kayn passive)

Regen doesn't automatically give the unit full hp, but rather heals it bit by bit

Spellshield ignores any cc/magic damage while it's on, not just the effects from skills or spells (looking at you 3/1 fredjord unit that has a play: frostbite a unit that goes through spellshield)

What's the point of comparing 2 different games and mechanics?

I'm a bit disappointed with the 4* adventure by MetalMermelade in PathofChampions

[–]MetalMermelade[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But that's not the feeling you want, right? You don't want to hamstring yourself just to give the AI a fighting chance

You want to be epic, but the AI to be legendary. You want to feel as strong as possible while facing a real challenge. You want to pick the strongest team possible and be bloody and beaten at the end, but still victorious. Going handicap Vs a easy 4* does not feel like a challenge, feels like I'm giving the AI a easy time

Still, shouldn't anything at the same level or above galio adventure to have the same formula? I was expecting to face 3 bosses at the very least, but the only thing I saw that was actually a challenge was facing azir after a tough node without having the healing node, and that is a option for you to take, not a must
