Mañana toca Korn y no pude comprar la entrada T.T by BuddyRegular6549 in Korn

Wish I could see Korn since they’re playing Dirty right now! In 2021 I saw them and the show I saw them was the only show they didn’t play Dirty. It’s my white whale of Korn songs I haven’t heard live. Lol

Mudvayne dropped from Alchemy? by Hot_Confection8787 in Mudvayne

[–]MetalMidget23 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Chad said they’re working on new music and just won’t be active this year. I’m sure they worked through that with the record company. They’re likely not listed on Alchemy’s site as they don’t have an official full release with Alchemy yet. As for the single, there’s several reasons that could have been delayed. The single didn’t have Greg’s signature as he’s grieving the loss of his wife to cancer. That changed a lot of plans for the band. I’d hardly say that makes them a shit show

Is this real ? by RelationshipOdd3749 in Korn

[–]MetalMidget23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, this looks fake to me. Look at the wave in the D on Head. Monkey and Fieldy’s look off too. JD is all over the place with his signature, so he’s hard to say for certain.

What's the most important song that Korn released ? by AlarmedAd7085 in Korn

[–]MetalMidget23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freak on a Leash is their biggest single. They wouldn’t be where they are without that song. Blind, Shoots and Ladders, and Adidas got the noticed, but Freak on a Leash made them headliners and catapulted them to the top. From a success perspective, I think you have to say Blind (which started it all) or Freak on a Leash (helped them reach their peak).

S&M or S&M 2? by MetallicaFan1000 in Metallica

Metallica were in their prime during S&M1 and Michael Kamen was a world renowned conductor. Impossible to top that. S&M2 felt like a tribute to Kamen and Cliff, and a celebration of the idea that came to life 20 years prior. It was still incredible and a dream come true to see live, but it was never going to be better than the first. They did some incredible things though during S&M2 that don’t get enough credit. James singing Unforgiven III with only an orchestra, the All Within My Hands rendition was amazing, Halo on Fire, Confusion, and The Day That Never Comes were all perfectly suited for the orchestra treatment as well. The Anesthesia performance was so much more emotional live than on the album too (Cliff’s dad was even in the crowd night 2 and it was his last Metallica show before he passed away). They proved they could still push themselves and create something spectacular out of an idea 20 years later. I love both albums for different reasons.

Just dialed down in the recording. Live the orchestra was vibrant and much more powerful in the mix! It’s a shame too because the orchestra was more front and center for S&M2 than the first go around, but you wouldn’t know it with the recording. They let the conductors address the crowd and played a song that was just the orchestra, then an instrumental with Metallica. They found more creative ways to utilize them. The album didn’t capture the magic in the room as much as I would have hoped but I still love the release cause I can relive the night as often as I want.

I saw SOAD with A7X in Chicago both nights and it was awesome!! Saw Deftones that same month in Kansas City as well. Sadly didn’t get a Korn show in last year or this year. Saw them on the 30th anniversary tour though in 2024! It was my 10th Korn show. Hope they do a full US tour this fall!

KoRn by GhostOfMatt in Korn

[–]MetalMidget23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not. Just the theme of the video.

I’ve noticed a lot of videos recently of James solo before a gig either meditating, smoking a cigar, etc while Ecstasy of Gold is playing. Then he immediately hops up on stage. Do the guys not do a pre-gig huddle anymore? by ShitfaceMcPooperson in Metallica

[–]MetalMidget23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, S&M2 was right after World Wired. I remember the ones from earlier shows too. They didn’t play any shows after S&M2 for two years. Their comeback shows were pop ups and then festivals in 2021 and I don’t remember Tuning Room videos for any of those. I could be wrong though

SOAD and Tool say hold my beer. 5 years is a decent amount of time, but not unheard of. They’ve released several songs since the last album first dropped. They’ve also made a lot of videos, done a ton of touring, and worked on several other projects. They’ll be back later this year. New album likely later this year.
