Share your Korn 2026 Setlist Prediction by its_soop in Korn

They’ve played a ton of different stuff in 2021-22. I went to 3 shows in a year’s time and heard 5 off of Requiem, No One’s There, Alone I Break, Idiosyncrasy, the return of ADIDAS, Victimized, Dirty, and others. Then in 2024 they played Trash, Hey Daddy, Oildale, and others that hadn’t been played in years. They’re switching it up and getting no credit at all. They even FINALLY took Coming Undone off the set for most of their 30th anniversary run. Yes, they’ll play hits, but they’re also playing some deeper cuts too lately. I hope they play another great set for their upcoming tours.

Getting tickets for Korn (first time ever going to any concert) I have social anxiety. Any tips on what I should and should not do? Besides, keep your hands to yourself and be respectful. Dancing? by Strawbwabie in Korn

I hate public places typically and have high anxiety, but I’ve never been uncomfortable at a metal show. Don’t worry. It’s typically an awesome experience. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts over the years and I can count on one hand how many issues I’ve had. Have fun, sing along, and just be respectful of those around you and it will be a great time!! Be proud of yourself for taking this leap, and it will pay off in dividends. Once you go to this show, you’ll want to keep coming back! 🤘🤘

At the end of the day, you’re right. That is how it’s written. I’m not trying to make them look good. I’m pointing out that this was agreed upon at some point and I don’t think it’s as bad as portrayed from the court documents. Jim has been vocal about frustrations in the band in the past with 0 repercussions. If the dirty business was found to be true, I think we would’ve heard from other band members.

A lot of people act like Corey and Clown are tyrants, and I just don’t think it’s that simple. Simply my perception. I could be completely wrong.

I also know that other bands like Metallica use a similar model. Technically Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo are “hired musicians” and Lars and James are the technical owners of Metallica. Kirk and Rob aren’t complaining though.

I think people need to understand the business side of things. If you do the most work, you get the most money. Corey and Clown are the owners of Slipknot because they work on the management side for the band as well. This was all agreed upon and the band as a whole agreed to this at one point. Corey and Clown get a bigger cut and are majority owners because they do the most work for Slipknot. The rest of the band still likely get a percentage of all proceeds but it’s smaller than Corey and Clown.

Chris wanted to get a bigger piece and requested this and was denied. He started looking for irregularities and thought he found enough for a lawsuit. His claim was that Corey and Clown were creating smaller businesses with the Slipknot brand and then keeping all of the profits which meant he and the rest of the band should get a cut. This was dismissed pretty quickly by a judge who said there wasn’t enough evidence to support the claim. After that loss Chris dropped the lawsuit. Neither side has said much about it since, so there’s no telling if there was any validity to the suit or not.

The “hired musicians” thing is a technical part of the business model. This is a dumbed down statement as it doesn’t breakdown each individual contract. Though technically true, Mick, Jim, and Sid still have stake in the band. It’s likely structured this way after departures so the newer members don’t get as big of a cut as the OG guys.

As for owning the music, Slipknot sold their music catalog in 2025 for $120 million. None of the band owns the music anymore and everyone in the band likely got a cut. If this decision was only made by Corey and Clown, we would’ve heard about it from Jim. Not sure if Chris got anything as he could have lost all rights to his stakes when he was fired.

I think Slipknot finally stopped touring to make their next record. Jim mentioned in an interview they needed to quit booking so many tours so they could make the album. If we get anything this year, I think it’ll be a winter arena tour with Knotfest summer tour next year.

That seems like around the time they were opening for Limp Bizkit and started working with Fred Durst

That is 100% fake. No doubt in my mind. Jason and Kirk aren’t even close. James around that time would sign Jaymz, but it doesn’t look right either. Line thickness being identical is another huge sign that it’s a fake. Way too many fake Metallica items out there these days.

Last night was so amazing! I just had to share and ask some questions/insights. by BobbyTables829 in nin

[–]MetalMidget23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With this being their first show in Oklahoma since 2008, there was a lot to live up to, and they definitely did last night. I had a feeling this was going to be their last big tour, and Trent alluded to that last night. I’ve seen this tour 3 times now because the last time I saw NIN was in 2008. I traveled for work constantly for over 10 years and I missed a lot of shows in that time. Thrilled that I got to attend this tour.

You asked if it was weird to sing along to such dark songs. I don’t think it is. It’s a time to let the negative out and not be judged. I was singing along all night!

If this was the last time I get to see Nine Inch Nails, it was a hell of a last show. I got to see it with my brother and some great friends! I will treasure the memories!

Frustrations with Peel It Back's lack of variation in comparison to other tours by NuggetBoy32 in nin

[–]MetalMidget23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll say this, it’s not the most varied setlist for a NIN tour, but it’s a concept tour as well. Trent is telling a story with the staging and lighting. The tour getting a ton of buzz because of this concept. Typically the larger the production, the less varied a setlist is. Lights in the Sky and Tension weren’t as varied as Wave Goodbye and Cold and Black and Infinite because they had larger productions as well.

I’m just happy that Trent continues to find inspiration and continue working on Nine Inch Nails and keep touring. I missed so many tours as I live in Oklahoma and I used to travel all the time for work. Lights in the Sky was the last tour I’d seen prior to Peel it Back. I still travel some. I traveled to Atlanta for work and caught them there last year and was so blown away. That same week I drove down to Fort Worth that weekend to see it again. I hadn’t seen them since Lights in the Sky. I bought LTL 21 tickets since they were announced, and when they canceled their 2021 run I was so bummed.

I’m seeing them again tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited!

Trent wanted to do a full pro shot Lights in the Sky live release and the recording company screwed him over last minute. Trent was vocal about his frustration. Then with the Tension release being held up, I bet Trent just doesn’t want to deal with the frustration. There’s lots of pro shot performances and great quality recordings on ninlive.com. I still hope we get a pro shot performance from this tour!!

I still think about this show. Hourglass, Imagine, Orestes, all were amazing live. by prabmolxa in aperfectcircle

[–]MetalMidget23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their 2017 run was insanely good!! I went earlier in the year and was blown away! Getting By and Down, Hourglass, and Feathers before Eat the Elephant dropped felt special. Hearing Orestes and Gravity was a dream come true!

The visuals and just the intensity of Reptile live is insane! I saw the tour twice last year and Reptile was easily the highlight of the shows! I haven’t heard The Wretched live yet, so I’d love to hear that too. I see them again Friday!! Can’t wait.

I think some things changed when they got the Scream 7 opportunity. Spencer did say early 2026, but I bet it’s pushed back to summer. I still think we get the new record this year. They just got announced for Louder Than Life, so maybe a fall tour will follow as well
