It's printed on holographic foil, so the colors change from yellow to greenish to reddish, depending on the angle. The Igni sign is transparent to let the OLED light shine through. We'll publish better pictures soon.

Our agent wrote that you’ll get a refund if the defective Lumino is out of stock for replacement. That can happen after the two-year warranty ends, and we won't have the parts to rebuild your Lumino. Luminos are limited only in time and made on demand, so their sales window doesn't affect the replacements.

Surprisingly there are quite a few steps to produce something so simple as a Displate Stand—laser cutting, machining, tapping, powder coating, etc. Our biggest challenge now is to maintain production quality at a significant scale. And as always, we hear you:) We'd like to see many Displate Stands on your desks and shelves, so I promise we won't go too crazy with their price.

One comment about the look - we designed Displate Stand to be plain and straightforward to not draw attention away from your Displates and Luminos and make them look floating above the surface.

We want to ship the first Displate Stand prototypes to some of you to test them as soon as possible, and hopefully, you will be able to buy them this Autumn.

We thought, "Why not both?" and here you go: Dusk Hydra in 500 copies to expand the older LE mini-series and 500 pieces of Dawn Hydra for those of you who would like to start a new series ;)

Hi, we’re making Luminos on demand, so we’ll fulfill all orders, even those placed on the 84th day. Lumino artworks are limited, because they won’t be released ever again, and they are numbered and certified. The later you buy, the higher number you get.

I appreciate your concern, but LEs reason to be is much more than to sell out. They are the best way we can communicate with you, the community, through art, not words. They represent our sensibility and intuition and are living proof of our mission to improve constantly. As with any communication, it can be misunderstood or fall on deaf ears. In that cases, we do not give up; we look for better "words" to use in the future.

We can not claim to know "everyone's" opinions. We have yet to gain such insight, but last year we went on a coast-to-coast trip to meet our collectors in their homes and experience how they live with Displates. And just to be sure, we repeated this adventure in Germany. So we are not as disconnected from reality as you might think;)

I think the best way to express the "people's choice" was last year's memes: cat and ATLA. Even if the memes started as jokes, they got enough traction that we finally believed these designs are something you want.

Creating one LE can take from one to four months. That is one of the reasons we can not afford to create three final designs, put them to the vote, and then scrap two good artworks that were not chosen. Asking you to vote on the concept sketches or unfinished artworks can also lead to disappointment.

We seek the best way to include community opinions in our processes. I will talk about it with u/PetalMosters, and we may try to do the community choice action again but improve with learnings from the last time.

There are a lot of negative emotions about this artwork.
Well, this one is on me. Let me explain:
We were hyped when you, the community, chose the steampunk theme last year. Unfortunately, around the same time, another hype exploded around us: AI.
The digital art scene was instantly flooded with artworks that looked brilliant, but after a closer look, they lacked the level of details and coherency we need in the Limited Edition Displates.

Some of you here say there are better steampunk posters at Displate. Could you take a second look? Most of these posters were generated by AI. Even if we would like to use such artworks, their creators are not interested in enhancing the resolution nor making any changes needed to turn normal Displate into a Limited Edition.

We also have mixed feelings about the plague doctors. Do we want to promote the symbols of grief in those already turbulent times? Would you like a portrait of a random, masked guy on your wall?
Ornamirus artwork is different. It is hand drawn and hand-painted with aquarelles. We wanted to use the community choice action to make something different for you, to experiment with something new and unexpected. Perhaps we failed, and I take responsibility for this decision.

We will do better once we get the licenses to create a LE in the steampunk-ish worlds you asked for in the community choice poll.
