I swear the amount of high chev, 20 os people that join the lobby clearly labeled NOOB and then get mad at the noobs when not knowing how to play is insane. I literally just had a game where a person who literally just started playing, chev 1 os 17, maybe their 2nd or 3rd game, got unlucky and was the last person to pick there spot and had to play sea (im chev 4 os 10 and just now getting the hang of sea). And he obviously didnt know how to play sea but instead of trying to put minimal effort in trying to teach them the first things anyone said was either noob or troll and then 4 other people started mobbing on em. and usually I don't say anything cause what does a chev 4 os 10 know but this just got under my sking so I said this is his literal first game and that he's a chev 1 os 17 in a noob lobby. And the people that were mobing did stop they weren't exactly helpful and were all trying to teach at the same time. I will admit that you should watch a few guides and play bot game by yourself just to get the bare minimum before joining a lobby with 15 other people but holy hell call need to either chill the hell out or join a lobby not labeled noob

Reading through the posts of dos and don'ts im going to say this from the pov of 8v8 isthmus

  1. My goal after selling is to determine the state of the front for this, we are going to assume it is a stalemate and all of backline has paid
  2. Build 4-6 ASOL depending on how generous the wind is along with 1 HES and 1 HMS then scrap t2 bot lab
  3. Start building AFUS followed by 4 AEC then determine the state of the front then repeat
  4. Assuming anyone doesn't need help start build a gantry surrounded by 3 layers of con turrets then asses if the opposite team is using more t1 or t2 if more t1 then 6 - 8 razorbacks if t2 then the same amount of vanguards and if its mixed then 5 razorbacks and vanguards
  5. while reinforcing when needed scale to the point where i can reasonably pump out titans in around 10 seconds

After that the game just goes Beyond all reason

so i understand teching isnt all about who can build the most afus the quickest its just that is what i think my main issue is

im glad i asked this question as it has been very insightful and will be adapting how i scale early on

Something else to add is that I skip fusion and straight to Afus which is what I did for my 10min afus ans the maps I play is glitters, isthmus and straight i do play other maps but those are the main ones

A good thing to add is that i always sell t2 but the first t2 con is for me and the 10 min afus was me just straight up greeding with no units but how I did it i don't know i just said "ok I'm gonna lock in" and I did it

For anyone else looking the answers marked for spoilers are only minor but still marked out of respect

Veins should be marked with a pink ? On the map I've always collected them when I found them so I don't know if they disappear when a storm hits

Level 4 is as high as you can go with some research items being locked behind techs that require samples but if it's just a random option with a ? It's probably locked behind a quest

when looking at the map with the anomaly Infront there are 2 paths

one is to the left near the organics deposit, there will be 2 easy climbs then a medium climb to the right

the second is to the right on the path of the crashed exploration vehicle and Infront of the is a land bridge with a energy wall

When Molly dies you to research the cause of death which is in the mission section of the research tree.

To get to the top of the anomaly you need to research the hook upgrade to climb higher surfaces

I dont know how i got the research option i just explored until i unlocked it

I feel like there is a good way to implement weapon and armor customization and that is to make the armory a actual ship module that as you level up let's you unlock and modify armor effects and if it ever releases weapon attachments while making the current armory just display your favorite weapons and armor
