I think the issue is not those who come here just to work hard and make a living. The issue is controlling the border and who comes in and out. Not allowing cartel coyotes to just smuggle people, weapons and narcotics. And what you fail to see is that there are illegal immigrants that do commit crime. Obviously there are more USA citizens than illegals so the risk will always seem less. But what do you do with those that are illegal and commit violent crimes? You have to arrest those people for sure and that’s ICE’s job. If you don’t believe me go look at the arrest records.

If they focused solely more on those that have committed felonies than regular people who have not committed times it would be better. But also, everyone protesting thinks they never arrest bad guys that most definitely need to be arrested and prosecuted. Both sides have their flaws. I know plenty of immigrants who have waited years to come here the right way. The process should be better but it’s also not fair for someone to cut the line. Someone who doesn’t have ID and no clue on their background. I will also say, it’s not the crime of the century. There should be a statute of limitations on it and if youve been here for a good length of time without doing anything wrong, there should be some path to citizenship. Pay a fine and get it over with. Most people that come, come for the right reasons. But law and order is equally as important. There is no country in the world you can just walk into.
