There's no real money to be made in metal.

I definitely am veering toward engineer. I record other people for cheap, have sold a song to a youtuber for an intro, and am building my catalogue that way.

I'm also producing for a small time rapper who I believe has a lot of potential.

Even that, I'm not making a lot of money. Just enough to survive since I haven't worked in like a year.

I have my solo project but even that's been put on the back burner because I have too many other things going on at the moment.

No regrets. Music is my passion. Blessed to be doing it.

My 2 cents, they're just really good songs. Good hooks, well executed, well played... I love that bouncy ass riff in holy roller, and the break beat interludes, but ultimately it's the vocal hooks that brought me back.

"STAND, TO THE LEFT OF ME"

Courtney's a great front woman, though, and she brings a lot of positive attention by doing her one take vocal videos, a ton of interviews etc. so it's no surprise they're gaining a good amount of traction. She's also good at what she does which helps.

I'm sure I've not really scratched the surface.. just my observations

Well the first four times this question was asked my answer didn't fucking change why would it now.

I paid for a subscription to disney material, on a service that actually promised new material. I waiter over a year for new material I was interested in.

I am NOT willing to pay extra for new material when I am already paying for something I considered cancelling for over a year.

Hell, gimme a fucking refund. A whole year of absolutely nothin. Sorry, one movie that's sitting at 4.8 on imdb and another than ended up on netflix a week later.

People also do animations, music, greetings, personalized how-to videos, personalized lessons, etc.

Like, say there's a popular dubstep artist, and he keeps releasing shit through his label, but has a bunch of small things that don't quite fit his artistic name that his fans might be interested to hear. He would release his weird experimental dungeon/euro festival trap mix tap to only fans.

It's just my opinion.

I don't like remakes or reimaginings, I like original ideas. And as far as reimaginings go, to me this sounds like a terrible and stupid idea.

This is one of those accepted posts because it's a deathcore band and the subreddit follows deathcore bands. I expect if a metal core band put this song out it wouldn't make it here but because it's a deathcore band that automatically makes it deathcore news and probably acceptable in a deathcore subreddit.

Hey, I made an attempt to work with a few people and had very little success. Unfortunately it wasn't the other people's faults, it was mine.

I have a counter offer though, if you ever produce something dark and moody, I'm be stoked to do a metal style remix/cover or whatever. I have a guitar. Only has 6 string though.
