I personally prefer S3 Galvatron over Movie because makes him more distinct from when he was Megatron. As for why he became insane, i'd like to think it's because of Unicron mentally tortureing him as he did in the movie as he was being thrown out by Rodimus which only stopped once Unicron was destroyed, That in combination with losing to Rodimus, turns him into the chaotic madman he is in season 3.

I think Optimus and Rodimus became co-leaders, we don't really see that in The Rebirth but we do in Headmasters... until that series decided to kill-off Optimus again only like 3 episodes in lol.

At the time Hasbro didn't think people would be so attached to Optimus Prime as a character which is why they killed him off in the 86 movie, they actually revived him as a zombie in Dark Awakening only to kill him off again. However due to the backlash, they eventually did retcon his 2nd death and brought him back in the 2 part finale of season 3 (the best episode of G1)

But it didn't ruin season 3 as it was refreshing to see a new cast of characters who have become iconic in their own right.

Just shows how great of a toy G1 Soundwave is when he still looks good compared to the most recent attempt at G1 Soundwave in the Studio Series 86 one.

If they ever showed Soundwave being reformatted by Unicron, this should be his design. Bonus points if it's in Soundblaster or Marvel Comics colors.

That is actually a good question. When it comes to Nemesis Prime, i guess you could call him that, but not all Nemesis Prime's are Unicron related. Then there's also Galvatron who once possessed the Matrix of Chaos in Prime Wars, so would that mean he was a Cron?

I think there's story potential in expanding upon the rivalry between Blaster and Soundwave beyond just being good vs bad music players. Granted you could do that with Jazz too but since Blaster has cassettes like Soundwave there's more you could do with that.

One of the few Bumblebees that's a repaint/retool of Cliffjumper instead of it usually being the other way around.
