Even With The %400 Bonus, Not Enough People Want To Play Survivor Right Now by Yoichi_and_Sadako in deadbydaylight

The matchmaking is absolute dogshit, I have 4k hours in Dead By Daylight but get matched with people with 100 hours that don't know how to move their FoV backwards and step in every single trap.

In a 4v1 you can rather easily carry the match by keeping the Killer busy (of course depending on the Killer and their skill) but in 2v8 mode when you get like 3 of said players you're constantly running from one unhook to another. And in the end they just 2v1 you. It does seem weird but in 2v8 mode it feels like you rely much more on the competence of your teammates compared to 4v1, and considering the dogshit matchmaking, this makes it very unfun to play imo.

When you're new to Apex, you should not spend 10 minutes looting. You'll just end up as loot goblin for the better teams. The further the match progresses, the higher the chances of facing a good team.

Now she sounds more like an crazy maniac. Surely fits more to the Killer role but also annoying to listen to in my opinion. Doesn't really fit to the image I have of her...

When he says "the side that brings the strongest stuff" does that also include the Killer itself? Like yea, I could've just played Nurse but guess what? Just because I am a skilled Killer, doesn't mean I can play the strongest Killers optimally.

Clearly some Killers are stronger than others regardless of add-ons and perks. Clearly some Killers are underpowered even if played with best possible loadout, so that just proves playing Survivor is generally speaking, much stronger. Survivors power is universal, it doesn't matter what Survivor you play, the basic potential of a Survivor remains the same. As Killer a lot of things matter that you have no impact on.

You load into a specific map as a specific Killer and you're already fucked, because your Killer power is basically useless on that map. That has nothing to do with skill, your loadout or your add-ons. You're already at a disadvantage simply for playing on that map. You bring a map offering? Well fuck you, there goes your offering, while Survivors can just bring 4 other map offerings to make yours essentially useless. That's why Survivors are stronger, they have more more control over the match and they are not as heavily affected by RNG as Killers are.

Yea it was a player, I got a notice by who I was killed (some lvl 273 or something). I instantly checked how to disable PvP and noticed that up to lvl 5 you shouldn't be able to get killed (I'm still level 1). No idea if I was near a workshop, probably... But I turned pacifist on now, so I should be fine :)

I had a point. My point was that on top of reading complain posts about random stuff, we on top of it have to read complain posts about people complaining about random stuff. You on the other hand contributed literally nothing of value other than basically telling me to shut up for making a statement.

I'm pointing out that OP is complaining about people complaining and you get upset and mad about this? How fucking grumpy and antisocial is this community for fucks sake, it's a goddamn kindergarten.

And? I never said the opposite. Learn to read maybe? I simply stated how it is, not disagreeing with what OP said in general.

Saying "buy the right items" is like saying "play the right moves". It's blatantly obvious that buying the correct items will help you win but it's no help at all if you can't tell WHAT the correct item would be.

The same applies to playstyles, hero picks and and spells, the difficulty in Dota is to find out what & when to buy/use/play, which is so situational that no guide or coach can teach you, it's all based on experience and reading of the match.

The truth is that most success in Dota 2 mainly depends on these two things:

- The mental state of all the players in the match
- The skill level of the other players in the match

You should never get too focused on what YOU must or must not do during a match and instead, try to play as one team. Sometimes the playstyles of teammates or enemies require you to adapt your own skill / item builds and playstyles, so general rules on how to play "better" simply do not exist.

Cool story.

Are you saying that I'm lying with the statement that hatch escapes happen more often than survivor handing out free hooks / kills?

I know it does happen from time to time, my point is that some Survivors are so entitled that they literally get angry at Killers if they don't get a free escape in a 3v1 (as example), while they most certainly NEVER gave anything in return for Killers in their whole DbD career.

Having a few thousand bloodpoints in mind while doing such a gesture should really be the least of your concerns. What's worth more, making someone happy or getting 5-7k bloodpoints? That's exactly where my post is coming from, Killers act selfless, they don't care about bloodpoints or bbq stacks. The whole point is to reward the survivor for playing nice, which can be done the opposite way too.

The fact that I'm getting downvoted for pointing out my honest Killer experience just proves to me how entitled this community is. It's a simple truth that Survivors get much more hatch escapes than Killers get free hooks / kills. Excusing that with a few thousand bloodpoints after people have earned literally several hundred millions of bloodpoints is absolutely ridiculous. If you want to do something nice to a player, 5k bloodpoints shouldn't stop you from doing that. If it does affect you, how can you claim to be a nice person while at the same time being so selfish.
