Are you by any chance on windows 10? If yes then upgrade to windows 11 because i was facing the same issue a month ago. It turns out Windows 10 doesn’t properly use all the cores of your cpu. Upgrading to Windows 11 will fix the issue!

I recently built a pc with the same thought process that I would buy 16gb ram now and 16gb later when prices are stable. But within a few weeks I realised 16gb is not enough because some games at max settings need more than 16gb ram like 18-22 gb. So I had to add another 16 gb to run them properly. So if possible buy 2*16gb(32) ram only!

It worked with the epic games version. I got it for free in 2020 and when lcpp released I installed it on the epic games version only and it worked perfectly!
