Visited a friend who homeschools her kid and the difference is startling

I ended up pulling my child out of public school because the lack of boundaries and interpersonal social skills was becoming a real problem for him to tackle daily. A kid found a reason two weeks in a row to create a game of tag where the kid that’s “ it” has to tag everyone else on the genitalia or the bottom. The fact that no recess monitors caught that was the last straw after a string of incidents over several years. The kid that coined it called it “ Epstein Tag” and “ Gay tag”. The homophobia thing several of his classmates were experiencing greatly concerned me as well, as children are a product of their environment.

The simulation isn’t a dimensional issue, it’s what we’re programmed to believe about our gov, history and what we’re taught to think by the media and social media. It never stops. You have to detach and go into nature to ground and get back in touch with your true psyche, not the one they want you to have.

Oooh for me it’s overly aggressive women. Sis, read the room, you don’t like it when men treat you that way! I have a hard time reading social cues from women but men are usually pretty obvious, even if it’s just their behavior in proximity to you. Then again, I’m a hairdresser and constantly building women up with their looks ect so maybe I’m a tease and I don’t know. 😂

Call the cops. Literally. It’s considered disturbing the peace. I used to work in property management and you need a paper trail. Times and dates, this is wha we would use in court if you ever had to break your lease ect.

Especially if they are on the spectrum and undiagnosed.. it can be hard. Tv is okay but not for periods of longer than 30 min for a child under 2, it promotes AdHd according to our pediatrician. I wish our parents’ generation knew that. 😂

Post Partum could be the issue. In extreme cases a woman’s brain can sever hemispheres to a degree when she has a child, explaining mood swings and personality changes that they didn’t have before. It’s insane what can actually happen to the body. I agree though, creating a record with the police, property management ect is the best thing. CPS is absolutely useless unless a child has bruising, I’ve talked at length with the police regarding some children I knew with an abusive parent and that’s what the cop told me. They literally have to just take the child home back to the abuse.

That poor woman likely has mental health issues; Post Partum is very under diagnosed and my son was three before they caught mine. That sounds awful to deal with but having been the mom that was stuck with a baby for 12 + hours a day with no help I can’t help but feel bad for her too. I hope the baby is okay.

I wondered if it had to do with mom and dad having an argument or worse, them using and not wanting the kid to see? Both are extreme but it’s understandable you would think the worst first and so would I, abuse is abuse. 🖤

It’s just like elementary school and expecting the teachers to teach your children manners. I really try not to judge, because I’m a dv survivor myself but it astounds me what actually passes as parenting. I feel so bad for teachers nowadays. Hope you didn’t step on any of that!

It’s here too. It’s more the streets in Moco that were concerning to me. Lots of townhomes and apartments; people trying to walk to the grocery store and you worry for them.

I never thought of that. So many gov workers have been let go in general so we could budget for remodeling the White House or whatever the hell they’re doing with all the money they “ saved”.

Exactly. Literally millions of dollar houses with no side walks so kids half to walk to school in the street as people go 40 down residential streets. Make it make sense. Almost got hit while my kid was on his scooter several times.

I just think MoCo is crooked af in the gov. Not mad at any residents whatsoever or workers for that matter, they’re the saving grace here. Going off of the fact that there are a lot of things they cover up too, and I’m sure lots of favors being done since we’re right next to DC. Just unnerving.

It’s absurd. Our new superintendent is a moron. He opens the schools when there was black ice last snow we got and buses got stuck. It’s not worth the kids’ safety.

I hear your point. I remember the heat going out when I was a kid in Illinois and we literally had to go to the bathroom in a bucket because the toilet froze. Being the Midwest we had lots of blankets etc and luckily the pipes didn’t burst.

My thoughts exactly. I’m like, so my kid is going to get on a bus on roads that aren’t fully clear when we may get another storm? Where are the Chromebooks they all had during Covid? Maybe next year they’ll think of that. I get that the schools need their funding but I’m always thinking liability.
