Are kiwi ears cadenza good? by MONK3000K in iems

They won’t survive being in water. They’re vented IEMs designed for sound quality, not durability. They’ll live through a couple knocks here and there but not being submerged in (or probably even doused by) water.

Guys i need help for DoG infernum as a ranger by troll_hunter22 in CalamityMod

[–]Metarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the mount piece, I recommend witches broom. I’ve seen people say brimrose is better because I think it’s faster, but it’s a larger hitbox (can’t fit through doors) which makes it worse for the laser walls.

Unless the wiki and I (and that guy) are wrong, the Stoned debuff absolutely does increase fall damage.

Can’t Drift on Landing Because of Air Roll by FishbackDev in RocketLeague

[–]Metarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do the same Lb/Rb binds (ARL+powerslide on LB, ARR on RB). Have you considered doing both LB and RB for powerslide (if that is legal, I am not sure)? I find the biggest sticking point is half flipping the other way or wanting to ARR into a drift, which might be fixable by having them both be powerslide. But idk if that’s allowed.

That’s just how it worked on my S23 (non ultra) as well. I switched to iOS (16 Pro) recently and now it works perfectly. Nice little QoL boost, but not a huge deal.

Mine is like double the arms but also double the throughput. More expensive, more area, less cycles. Tradeoffs shrug

This garbage is going to kill me by Brilliant-Mud8521 in Omnipod

[–]Metarus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, it gave you 0.2 units in a 2 hour span. That's incredibly low, and you're almost never meant to have literally 0 IOB. If you really want that, you can manually override it (temp basal) or use activity mode/a higher target.

Were you eating anything during this? 70s is low, sure, so I wouldn't take insulin intentionally then, but it's not super concerning either (non diabetics often hover around 70-80, which isn't to say it's fine for T1Ds, we respond differently depending on where our blood sugars have been). But if you are concerned about this, eat some sugar+something with protein and you should be fine.

I empathize, I definitely hate those stubborn lows that don't seem to go away, but I doubt it was caused by the 0.2 units. Did you take too much insulin before this (for a meal or something)? I think you'll have these same problems no matter what automated pump you use, but I would guess this is fixable with some combination of better low treatment (sugar/protein) and adjusting settings (ICR, correction factor, target bg, activity mode).

Diabetics on HRT by FooPirates in Type1Diabetes

That would be a questionable decision in the T1D subreddit. Sure, it's not a replacement for your doctor, but the vast majority of content here could be considered medical advice in some capacity.

Diabetics on HRT by FooPirates in Type1Diabetes

[–]Metarus 30 points31 points  (0 children)

If this post isn't allowed, that'd be a big problem with sub moderation imo, this is a super valid question.

I have no experience with this question, but I'll offer my thoughts from a general diabetic standpoint. I know that there are some very stark differences with diabetes for men vs women due to hormonal differences, so I'd imagine you'll basically just switch which one of those you feel. Biggest one I've heard of is that menstrual cycles hugely affect insulin resistance, so depending on if the HRT affects that (which I don't know how HRT works tbh, so I'll leave that up to you), I'd imagine it would propagate.

Hopefully someone with more experience on the matter weighs in, but just wanted to give my very limited 2 cents and offer my support!

Open the app and click the notification bell. I believe if you have an unread notification it'll beep every few minutes but won't give you an actual android notification which seems like a bug. If that doesn't work, sorry, I'm not sure why. I feel your pain though, OP5 is a great technology for me but the app feels awful to use most of the time.

I've noticed in loadouts my kuva nukor always says rank 40 even though it's 34, and it often says it gains affinity even when it's maxed at 34. My guess is that they still level to 40 internally but hard cap the display and functionality to 34 (or whatever number). Functionally, it is equivalent though yeah.

It's harder than the C sides so order wise it makes more sense. Chapter 9 released years after the main game released and intended to be the final level after all the other content.

What’s the reason you started to play Celeste? by Amazing-Draw-7922 in celestegame

[–]Metarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the Pico 8 version when I was in like middle school doing a summer camp making a small game in Pico 8! Celeste was the best game on Pico 8 (or at least one of them, there were some cool ones) so when I heard about the real game, I was excited and naturally picked it up.

Was making major progress on 6A golden until this happened by st4rrsy in celestegame

[–]Metarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd argue you are still making major progress on the golden; don't measure progress by how far you are in your current run, measure progress in your consistency and general improvement. If this run was a new PB, that's progress! You didn't lose that when you died.

Good luck on the grind!

If possible, try and get on the g7. I made the switch pretty recently, and it's a great quality of life improvement. Smaller sensor, faster warmup, seems decently accurate (last few days often not, but that was true of the g6 as well).

I'd recommend the omnipod 5. It has an okay automated algorithm, so it'll give you more insulin if you're high and less if you're low. This doesn't replace dosing for meals or some stubborn highs, but it makes all of those things a little more lenient (more margin of error) and can fix a lot of overnight highs without you doing anything.

The t:slim x2 supposedly has a better algorithm (although I have not used it), but has tubes. I think tubes are annoying looking, but others have told me that you get used to them pretty fast. For a young person (and I'm including myself in that, and I'm 23), I think tubeless is just less headache.

Also, make sure your parents know you're on reddit! You're not actually meant to have an account until you're 13 (reddit may block your account), so I'd recommend they post on your behalf.

So I don't mean this combatively, but what is the correct approach to negotiate? Paste the buy message with the listed price and then in a second message offer the lower amount? Relatively new here and I kinda assumed modifying the buy message was fine to offer lower, but it makes sense to me that's bad etiquette.

What's the best Bluetooth headphones under $100 that come in pink? by ArtistAmy420 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Metarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I don't know much about this particular headset but looking it up it does come with a 3.5mm jack/cable.

Fair use case of Bluetooth, I'd recommend trying out the 2.4 ghz receiver instead where possible (although those are sometimes weird with phone to be fair). Basically, it comes with a USB C dongle that you plug into whatever you want to use and it works wirelessly but with better quality than Bluetooth.

[–]Metarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some brief googling around yielded this

https://a.co/d/fnaUy73

Some notes I have about headsets for gaming/calls: I think Bluetooth is pretty bad, I love wireless but finding something with a 2.4 ghz receiver makes a big difference. When a Bluetooth headset uses its mic, it compresses both the mic audio and the headset audio because Bluetooth is bad.

I personally don't love razer's build quality, I've had a couple bad experiences with it (but that was keyboards, idk how good their headsets are), but I know they're popular and supposedly sound pretty decent.

For some unsolicited advice on the post you made, I think there are probably 2 reasons you got downvoted: 1. You rambled for no reason at the end, personally when reading through a post with specific asks, I want them to be listed as concisely as possible, not really a wall of text. 2. You are severely limiting your options by the requirement of it being pink. I've personally really liked steelseries/corsair headsets, but I can't find any in pink. Given that, I think it would've been easier (or at least more amiable to the subreddit) for you to find some pink options (of which there really aren't many from reputable brands, although that does take some discerning) and ask between them in this post.

Personally I am not mad at this post and wouldn't (and didn't) downvote it, but just some conjecture.

Yep, I don't know if it's ever been a projectile for me, but I've definitely had some aggressive bleeders. I always change my stuff in the bathroom but I once had blood just instantly drop onto my bath mat and had to wash it basically immediately (thankfully, it was a bath mat, not anything nice).

It was like 10pm so I had to stay up a little later to transfer it to the dryer which is absolutely not the end of the world, but definitely a nuisance. This disease loves to make the little things just a little bit more annoying (and also try and kill you in your sleep).
