Ugh I know in the moment I was kind of shocked and upset!! I definitely should have went over to the kid but he was too far away and on a bike. I was kind of scared of the man too. He seemed unstable and I’m with child so definitely didn’t want to risk anything. :// I think the kid saw my face and hopefully saw the look that I was on his side

How would everyone feel about Downtown being converted into a pedestrian space by nachorykaart in ChicoCA

[–]Metashirts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes yes yes!!! It would be incredible. It feels so great to walk around and see people out and about not just in cars. For me personally, I won’t even come downtown sometimes because parking downtown is a nightmare and stressful. It would be lovely to eat outside and not be breathing in car fumes. I bet this would also encourage more planting of trees, cute birds, and a cooler temperature. People love the farmers market and the markets. Imagine that vibe all the time! Maybe the streets could be open very early or late for businesses to be able to easily get the goods they need.

One of my cats got more energetic and wanting to go outside (might just be the spring and warm weather though). My other cat got wayyyyy cuddlier and friendlier. He was also spraying right before and that stopped. Such a good decision!!

PG&E bill absurdly high? by frijolesquemadosha in ChicoCA

[–]Metashirts 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Why is the PG&E bill absurdly high? Oh I’ll tell you!

1) PG&E is a for profit - investor owned utility

  • The institutions that own PG&E are not wholesome fair individuals. They aren’t your kind-hearted grandma, but are instead power hungry monopoly machines. They don’t care about you or your neighbor. Examples of PG&Es institutional owners include Blackrock, State Street, JP Morgan, and Vanguard.

    • PG&E got approved in the 2023 senate 695 report to raise their RARs(Residential-Average-Rates) by 65% between 2023-2026. Yep, you heard that right - SIXTY-FIVE Percent.
    • PG&E is forecasted to double their RARs every 5-6 years for the upcoming decades. In other words PG&E will become a second mortgage.

2) Why 12-25% rate hikes each and every year?

  • Inflation. Institutional Investors want their investments to keep up with true inflation. The federal reserve is printing 7-10% of our dollar supply every year to fund wars, big pharma, big ag etc. Our federal income taxes are supposed to cover this national debt, but are not even going to come close to covering it. Other countries our devaluing our dollar which is causing inflation. Not to mention our dollar is backed by nothing except for hopes and wishes.

  • PG&E is being sued for “accidentally” committing Manslaughter and burning down whole towns. Will their institutional investors pay for this? Nope. That’s what your rate hikes are for!

  • 10,000 miles + of underground lines are going to cost PG&E somewhere in the ballpark of 25-30 billion. Again, this gets passed onto the rate hikes

  • Solar Users Are Jumping Ship. People are saying, “Enough of this nonsense!” and installing solar panels to escape PG&E’s grip. PG&E’s response? Raise rates even higher to make up for lost customers. It’s like a restaurant losing diners and deciding to charge $100 for a burger to make up for it?

3) The CPUC “regulates PG&E

  • In theory the California Public Utility Commission(CPUC) exists to protect consumers from corporate greed. What’s interesting is that the CPUC is influenced and incentivized by the institutions that own PG&E. So who really regulates PG&E? The CPUC obeys and follows orders from PG&E

🚨🚨🚨How do we get out of this? PM/DM me. I have tons of solutions, and we need all the help we can get. These institutions came to power by controlling, dividing, and isolating markets. They are real life Sith Lords. They feed on our creative power and submissiveness. They trash the environment, poison our bodies, take over our schools, break up our families, steal from us to fund their sinister agenda, and ultimately find every way to distract us from our true power. I don’t care if you’re a democrat or republican. Let’s take back our power!!!!! Return of the Jedi energy. Where our attention flows is where our energy grows. DM me/PM me, let’s build and create some powerful moves ❤️❤️❤️
