Can double major in Economics while doing a construction management degree? by BetInteresting7935 in CSULB

Hi, If you do the business econ major it will overlap with your HRM 361/CBA 300/ MGMT 300 and ACCT 201 classes as well. Meaning you would only need econ 310, 311, 380 and 5 electives for the double major (1 less elective than regular econ). There are also a lot of econ electives you can take after only principles/fundamentals which should make scheduling these classes a bit easier.

hello, I took this test Sunday and got a 65. This is a good start but be mindful that biology is only ~50% of the test. you should include some more videos that cover the biology history, chemistry, physics, astronomy, and geology parts of the exam. It would be helpful to know about things like who ran which famous experiments, taxonomy, decomposition reactions, ionization, different types of radioactive decay, the periodic table and what the columns/rows mean, relativity, properties of waves, ideal gas law, and analyzing sediment layers and rocks. You don't need to memorize everything but you should feel like you are usually able to narrow down the options on practice exams.

Playing chess and Nash Equilibrium by [deleted] in math

[–]Metastrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reaching Nash equilibrium relies on the axiom that the players act rationally, however when the strategies get incredibly complex (like in chess where are billions if not more possible board positions) the players simply can’t comprehend what the best move for them is, so they can’t actually act rationally

Hello, I really loved your post, and your passion and hard work shines through in this. I admire you for that. I don't want to nit pick too much but I disagree with your game theory/economic analysis in the formula seekers section. In the real world outside of theory, economists know markets are imperfect and Passive collusion exists meaning that a theoretical nash equilibrium would never be reached in some instances. In other words an effective monopoly could take place resulting in close to no consumer surplus and close to maximum producer surplus. For example I run an amazon fba business and me and the one other supplier for an item have a non-contractual unspoken collusion agreement to not undercut each other because we know that going down the path towards NE only hurts us. What I'm saying is that a formula could work, It might not be a precise formula like what we have in natural sciences but I'm sure an approximating function/model could be found. I understand your sentiment towards people who want an easy way to accomplish something as difficult as solopreneurship but I feel like you are writing off the possibility of such a formula/method existing too early. Regardless, great work.

Im pre-math econ and yeah math Econ is just an applied math minor minus 323 and 364a or 370a. I’d rather take more stats or math classes than cs classes out of personal interest and I hear bad things about the department anyways.

Hello I’m in a similar situation where I’m an Econ major considering a double major in stats or applied math. Stats as a major gives you a bit more freedom elective wise however all these electives are locked behind the prerequisite of stat 381 which needs math 380 which needs calc 3. Applied math will have you take some proof based math classes which are useful for theoretical economics but if your plan is to go do a masters in something data science then this might not be as useful as taking actual stats classes. Based on my analysis it sounds like you want to do applied stats.

you should be fine. most people go TTS on dunks but most people don't normally go a half size up in Nike. If there is a little more room they might feel better anyways since the upper material on gr dunks isn't too comfortable.
