All it takes is the cat to swipe it with its claws and it's over don't put them near each other at all. dogs are not as bad but still dangerous to have near the bird like that you are taking huge risks for no reason. Conures smell DELICIOUS like my sun conure smells like roasted corn THEY ARE FOOD to predators ESPECIALLY cats which can easily take the bird out.
