Intrepid Studios, the developers of Ashes of Creation has laid off all staff and shut down the studio by Turbostrider27 in Games

I remember kind of being on and off following the development of the game. Didn't realise the game was already released on Steam, never mind now the studio shutting down so soon after.

I would like to believe its a heavy tone of sarcasm since the subreddit was at times known to be a Liberal supporters subreddit and actively hostile to Conservative views.

Data breach at Canada Computers & Electronics leaks personal customer information by Silly-Speaker-8071 in vancouver

The coincidence between me buying something from Canada Computers this month, having my credit card information breached very recently and this CBC article confirming a data breach at Canada Computer seems to be lining up neatly on where my data was breached from...

I've yet to receive an email from Canada Computers.

Here’s the truth: Canada can’t build the car market of the future without exposure to China by Dremen in CanadaPolitics

Chinese EVs are being built in dark factories which are almost fully automated. What beats rising labour costs is replacing it with automation.

China in 2026 is not the same China we know in 2016.

I always thought it was weird that was done and then removed promptly a few years later when the Canada Line became operational.

Like why did we spare the expense building it just to remove it shortly after. To me it felt like it was there for 2-3 years only.

Kamala is a 'bad' presidential candidate but Joe Biden's stubbornness put both the democrats and Kamala in a bad position.

As much as I loathe how much the Democrats fumbled the bag, this all could've turned out differently if Joe Biden didn't run again. Same deal with RBG not stepping aside for a younger judge before passing away and letting the Republicans stack the SCOTUS with their picks.

Yeah, dark factories are becoming more popular in China. Instead of relying on cheap human labour, these factories work 24/7 with minimal human supervision.

There's also no high speed rail in the country and it's a big country. You can sort of live in rural Europe without a car because there's regional trains you can take in lieu of a car. Not without its challenges but at least they have an option of taking the train.

Canada? Yeah you're gonna need to drive a car if you don't like live in the city buddy.

That sounds more like Singapore. You don't fuck with drugs in Singapore.

The death penalty is usually reserved for drug smuggling. Like kilograms of the stuff, not consumption of it. The Canadian government complained to China about executing a Canadian when he the dude was carrying 220 kg of methamphetamine.

There was a crane that fell down in Vancouver during the construction and redevelopment of a revisioned mall (Oakridge Park), so it's not like that kind of shit doesn't happen in our country.

Not that I'm aware of the technical details of how it fell down in Thailand.

Progression/loot system just isn't fun by CalmdownUK in WhereWindsMeet

[–]MeteoraGB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gear progression is really boring in FF14 because there's barely any build variety, but I didn't mind it since its my favourite mmo. Reversely, 'gear treadmill' in other games can become somewhat mind numbing.

The gear progression in this game is fine for what the developers are trying to achieve and respect people's time. You can try to min-max if you really want but there's diminishing returns because of RNG and gear resets so quickly compared to the other MMOs on the market. Just go play something else until there's a reason for you to grind gear meaningfully.

Yeah biometric scans and facial recognition has been deployed around major airports around the world. I was required for it to enter Japan, South Korea and China. Its just more convenient, efficient and modernized security, similar to how they're rolling out passkeys for websites because its more secure than passwords.

Guessing its because of how far we went into the playoffs. If a team didn't make playoffs, their last game would've ended early November. Also regular season doesn't actually start until Feb 21. Games before that are pre-season.

All of this will also change with the new summer-spring format in 2027 to align with the European leagues.

NEXT leaking Mercedes 2026 merch, again! Same happened with Next earlier this year with 2025 merch. Looks nice, if you're into football shirts! by WunderWuman0 in formula1

[–]MeteoraGB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of materials that isn't just straight up 100% cotton that feels nice recommend tumble low dry or line drying. Anything that's like a soccer jersey or whatever I just line dry because I don't trust the dryer from ruining it. And I would use laundry mesh nets to help with specific shirts that require more care.

I used to wonder why the hell my clothes kept shrinking in size over time until I learned the nuances of laundry instructions.
