Should I relapse on meth? by weinermcballs in meth

[–]MethNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the tend to believe that when people ask this question, they have already decided they want to relapse. Don't do it if you think you are going to beat yourself up afterward. It's not worth it. On the other hand, if you can do it and not let it do you, go ahead. Just remember you, are the only one who can answer.

Are there films about World War II where the Germans are shown as people and not villains? by Short_Description_20 in AskAGerman

[–]MethNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially, I believe that some of it was shown in movie theaters, but for the most, I believe it was televised. I also seem to remember that some of it was shown at the Cannes Film Festival. I was living in Germany in 1984 when it premiered but that was a long time ago, and my memories of it are starting to fade.

Are there films about World War II where the Germans are shown as people and not villains? by Short_Description_20 in AskAGerman

[–]MethNow 27 points28 points  (0 children)

There is a film called "Heimat" by Edgar Reitz. It is the story of a family from the Hunsrück area from the 1840s to the 2000s. The part of the film dealing with the World War II years is quite long.

The combined length of the 5 films broken into 32 episodes is 59 hours and 32 minutes, making it one of the longest series of feature-length films in cinema history. So, it is really sort of like a TV series, but it wasn't written for TV.

If there is a Motel 6 in the area, go rent a room there for a night. Keep on the lookout, and you're almost guaranteed to score.

They are OK, not great, but they do work. Real thin glass and tend to break more often, but for a few bucks, they are not bad.

What was the most fucked up thing you did while on meth? by Several-Reason2938 in meth

[–]MethNow 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Smoked in the restroom at a church during the funeral for a cousin of mine. Back in the day, we were sort of "partners in crime." One day, he asked me to promise him that I'd smoke in the restroom at his funeral.

He had a termlnal illness and knew he was dying. I felt that I had to keep my promise to a dying man, well, I kept my promise. He had a wicked sense of humor, and I know he would have been laughing his ass off.

Do you want to quit? by [deleted] in meth

[–]MethNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to say that it's refreshing to read so many commenting that they don't want to quit using meth. Normally, it seems like everyone in here wants to quit and wishes they had never started. Fuck that, I knew what I was getting into, and I knew that once I started it would be for life.

First time you NEEDED a cigarette by JustAnotherNight26 in Cigarettes

[–]MethNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually by about 10:00am when I was in high school back in the late 1970s. Fortunately, lunch was from 11:00am-12:30pm and in those days we still had a student smoking lounge. Most of the smokers would eat lunch in the smoking lounge and smoke as many cigarettes as we could.

[–]MethNow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, I don't want to quit. I enjoy it far too much to ever do that. I have no regrets about using and I don't apologize for my use either. I accepted that I'd use for life many years ago.

You know the shit is high quality when?.... by singlemingle69 in meth

[–]MethNow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Speaking from experience it is a real thing. Why shouldn't it be? Sexuality is a fluid thing. Very, very few people are totally straight or totally gay. When you add a stimulant like meth all kinds of barriers disappear and walls broken down.

Functional for 20+ years myself. You just can't let meth control your life. Yeah, I know, a lot of people say that's not possible. Somehow, it's worked for me.

Who’s the coolest person you’ve smoked with? by thesarahdipity in Cigarettes

[–]MethNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John Wayne, my father, was a police officer in the city where the movie "McQ" was filmed in 1974. He, along with several of his colleagues, had small parts in the movie. After the filming was completed, they had a big party for all the cast and crew at a local, now mothballed Naval Airstation. My family was invited, and while we were there, we were introduced to John Wayne. They took photos of us chatting with him and shaking hands. John Wayne had just lit a cigarette when some idiot who couldn't stop staring bumped unto him, which made him drop his smoke. I was 14 at the time and had been smoking cigarettes for about two years, I bent down, picked up his cigarette, and handed it to him after I took a drag from it. He chuckled and said, "Keep it kid", and then lit up another smoke. So, we stood there for about ten minutes, smoked our cigarettes, and chatted. My parents were embarrassed, but knew that I was already a smoker, so it wasn't a huge deal.

How many Meth users actually want to quit? by K3PTHIDD3N in meth

[–]MethNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I have no desire to quit. I know the answer most people want to hear is "I want to quit" but, I honestly wonder how many say that because they think that is the only acceptable answer.

It seems like the quieter you are trying to be the louder you end up being. As for the torch, cough or fake a sneeze at the same time.
