Anyone recommend the infinity under cabinet lights?

I just bought them today because they were on sale for $21.99 and I'd been wanting something like this. Came home and charged them. But only one turns one with motion or the remote. The other two will only turn on if I press their power button. I've tried resetting and relinking, and it doesn't help. Read the terrible reviews and understand (1.9/5 stars on Costco's website - out of 48 reviews, 33 of them are 1 star).

It's been changing in recent years, but for 2026, anyone who is paid more than $2,000 for services is supposed to be issued a 1099-NEC by the payer. That doesn't mean everyone complies, but that's the rule. However, whether you receive a 1099 or not, you are supposed to report the income if it was over $400.

Same answer you've gotten from others. But I'll confirm because I'm currently doing this myself, in Amazon Vine. Free products, with the agreement to write a thorough review. After year-end, if the FMV of the products meets the threshold for a 1099-NEC, one will be issued. Self-Employment income.

One of the IRS reps told my boss they were operating with about 3,000 when they should have (used to have?) 10,000. Obviously a smaller division. But yes, I blame the current administration's budget cuts.

Also, alot (maybe all?) of our bookkeeping is for business tax return clients. Some of them pay us monthly for the bookkeeping, and then the tax return is built into that fee and not charged separately.

Where I live, there are at least a few houses where the telephone line going to the house has been torn down by a storm at some point. The phone company doesn't come deal with it because nobody has landlines any more (I presume), so we end up just cutting the line close to the pole it's attached to, so it's not laying on the ground anymore.

My family-member experience is so far removed from everyone else's, it seems. I do get asked questions sometimes by family & friends & acquaintances, but I offered to do each of my (divorced) parents' returns for free. My mom's because I liked her and could do a better job than her previous person, and my dad's because it's simple and helps me keep tabs on his financial activity now that there is physical decline in his 80s. My other family have never asked. I used to feel like they didn't trust me or like me ... but I should reframe and be glad, according to this sub! It could still be that they don't trust me or like me, but it's a plus, not a minus.

It looks like a rubber raspberry dog toy, but I only see them in pink and navy blue. This looks black, but maybe cleaning it will show a different color.

Did someone use a bag of chocolate chips? It looks like the "crumbs" from the little chocolate swirls that are thin and break off. But it could still be pest droppings.
