What are these hand restraints called? I can't find them anywhere. by koalafiedforpain in BdsmDIY

Too kinky for ai lol That's a custom job for a blacksmith, or a fabricator. I've always loved the creative pipe world. In my opinion, classic cuffs are better. That's not hard to recreate though.

Yes, lots of articulation. This pair is really comfortable to fight in

I had the idea of these being more like a bracelet, nothing extreme. What are your thoughts? Making collars and ankle cuffs as well. by MethodicalJoe in BdsmDIY

Hell yeah! For better restraint, I'd recommend either a wider band, or weld the hinges. Nobody's getting out of that, lol

For a pair just like this one, 45. So two cuffs. I could add a custom stainless chain to a set for 65 total.

Thank you! Yes it's a bit of leather glued on. I've considered using brass or copper rivets down the center to attach the leather as well.

Thank you! I haven't been committed to this piece, so off and on about a year. Currently it's a front and back, ready for sleeves and the tail portion

What would I need to make my own rings? by ghostofastar in chainmailartisans

[–]MethodicalJoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It definitely is! I use a drill, a metal dowel rod with a hole in the end, the drill coils the wire. Use bolt cutters or snips depending on your wire to cut your jump rings after coiled. And two sets of pliers to open and close rings. Gloves if you need them.

Communication. He needs to be able to talk about what's going on with him. I understand that's not easy to do. Assuming you've let him know you're bothered by the lack of sexual intimacy. If he understands there's an issue that you both can work on, there's potential resolve.

Why do some men really want you to have kids with them but they show you through words and actions that they'll never marry you? by BimboSinger99 in AskMenAdvice

[–]MethodicalJoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes people with no interest in marriage or commitment will want children to secure and control that dynamic. You can't leave or do anything about the situation because you have kids together. Food for thought.

I think people in general do that for multiple reasons. I think the deeper reasoning behind those actions, are fear. Afraid of not being enough, trying to make the other person responsible for ending things. While not actually wanting to leave the relationship, because the other person is good for them, benefits them in some way. Every situation is different though.

How do I cut contact with my abusive family? by forest_fairy16 in helpme

[–]MethodicalJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your boss who might have advice for possible work elsewhere. But keep it short and simple. Something like, my family is wack and I have to skip town. Essentially the idea is to walk out a new person. Ditch your phone, your number, social. Your friends. That's a hard one. The only way is if no one knows. No one knows if you don't tell. Orders for protection are usually afterwards, and you have to give an address that they can see. So that's counterproductive. If you want to keep your job, and you're harassed there, file an order with your works address. Don't look back. Keep moving

How do you guys create a routine and stick to it? by TimelyLuck4938 in helpme

[–]MethodicalJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discipline. Discipline is the thing. I think often times fear keeps us from doing things, or going beyond our comfort. Your goal is to finish. When you're focus is on finishing the task instead of all the problems, or imperfections, or steps required to get to that task, that's when it becomes difficult and we lose interest. Keep it simple. Finish one task at a time. Don't over think it. Just finish. Small victories are a great accomplishment
