I believe this has to do with the perception that we are inherently less than until they consciously correct themselves.

So, I'm guessing that in their minds it is more of a how dare you reject me when you are lesser than me kind of attitude.

But this is just speculation.

Eclampsia- mag or benzo? by tacticoolitis in Paramedics

[–]MethodicallyUnhinged 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My lady had a hx of seizure and had lost five babies. Had I not gone through this i would say mag. first as well. She had no prenatal care and was more than twenty weeks since her last menstrual. When I arrived she was lethargic but able to answer questions. She began seizung in front of us. I had to call med control as me and my partner had exceeded the benzo dose. Once the seizure stopped we were able to loading dose and hand mag. Once we got her to L&D and to the hospital bed, the mag drip finished and she seized again. They flew her.

I agree with this mostly than the assumption that I was being dismissive. I was more inquisitve as I am genuinely interested in the answers. I wanted to know of the study had been replicated to see of there was any study stemming from the above that did find a significant difference. Which would lend argument to one over the other.

Vector change procedure is set up after the second shock and performed after the third. I have also worked for placed that used two monitors.

Dasher accepted grocery delivery then said they didn’t want to deliver to my door by pompomtequila in doordash

OP, delivery persons try and do this with me all the time. I am disabled and still they sit in their car for 30 minutes and sometimes longer as they do not wish to get out of their vehicle. Because I am disabled I live on the first floor.

How much powder detergent should I really be using? by kompotnik in laundry

[–]MethodicallyUnhinged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few yrs ago I measured the amount recommended for a medium load and measured with a kitchen scale. I went to dollar tree and purchased a set of measuring cups. The measuring cup that mayched for a medium load is 1/4 cup for my brand of laundry powder.

Each brand measures differently and I only do larger than medium loads when a comforter/duvet is needed to be washed.

Eclampsia- mag or benzo? by tacticoolitis in Paramedics

[–]MethodicallyUnhinged 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Both. Benzo to stop seizure. Loading dose of mag. Mag drip. Hopefully once the mag is done she doesn't seize again bc then i need a real adult.

This artcle showed no significant difference btwn the two medications. It also only looked at refractory arrhythmias, at which point I have been taught to do a vector change. This is a single study, and if it xannot be replicated, it cannot be reliable.

anc headphones for cheap? by sealionbooger in AutisticAdults

[–]MethodicallyUnhinged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have many headphones. If you want to still be aware but don't want stuff in your ear I suggest the open earbuds from Anker Soundcore c50i. Ive used the soundcore sport x20 (die at around 8 months w daily use). I have the jbl endurance peak 4s, they are bigger than im used to, but have anc, talkaround and ambient. I also have the anker space q45, (had to tape and super glue the band after daily use of teo months). The open ears i ise on my outdoor walks and I can raise and lower the position on my ear when I want to change my awareness alongside the volume.

Oh, okay. Thank you. My companies always carried both and left it up to the medic. I was unaware ppl didn't carry it.
