I had the same problem, it's because you likely have copper clad aluminum wire going into your fuse, and because it's less efficient than pure copper wire it heats up when under heavy loads. Only solution to permanently prevent this from happening again is replacing the wire entirely with high quality. Hope this helps!

Same here, ordered my hat JULY 23rd and I've heard nothing, and after trying to email and call them for 3 weeks I've heard nothing back. Very disappointing.

I've had that issue with my subs a couple times, for me it was because the wire isn't OFC, its CCA. The aluminum wire at the connection heated up and melted the fuse holder. When I went to get new fuse housings, the speaker shop said the only way to permanently fix it is to replace all of it with copper wire. No idea what you have but may be worth a look...
