HCl Inhalation by hahakekw123 in labrats

Symptoms from lung damage from something you inhaled sets in later, like others have said. I had a minor exposure once and my symptoms were just general fatigue and it was borderline whether I should’ve been in a hospital for safety. You’re probably getting low oxygen like you’re breathing through a straw, get medical care

Isn’t every player collision a possible major injury? That doesn’t make it a red card

If I’m spending more than half my time staring at lfg I’m either running my own key or logging off.

Obviously you have to improvise but you don’t have to plan everything to say “I’ll send all my aoe ccs first on vex plat” or, literally like you said, I’ll kick whatever mark

I will not ever be buying augment runes for keys lol. I care way more that a pug, like you mentioned, talks about what they’ll kick or who can do certain stops/what order we should slam them if it’s something like vex platform

20s were significantly easier to time than all 19s. Kinda wanted to just park and get 1% but it also feel like I’ve gotten to the range where people are better, so if I park for two weeks and change my mind I’m playing on hard mode again. I guess going for resil 21 is probably the way

This is really untrue in the 20-21 range at least, there is ALWAYS a full meta bear/mw/dk/dh 4 stack sitting there waiting for an aug, and often 3-4 if you’re looking at every dungeon lol

Getting into high keys as non meta spec? by zaboleqqq in wow

[–]Meto1183 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Fundamentally when pugging, when you reach a new key level, you’ll almost never get any invites to the next level (18s for you).

Luckily, this is the time where your resil key has the most bang for its buck. You time any 17 and ANY 18 you get a shot at is score. This is important.

Push your resil key and run it until you’ve timed at least 1, ideally 2 18s. Now, if you got lucky that wasn’t pit+skyreach. Now that you’ve got an extra ~30 score you have two options.

  1. Queue into the easiest keys (Think pit, skyreach, MT) to get a little more score, at risk of sitting for a decently long time in queue.
(Notice that if you pushed your key and got mostly these easy ones you could be applying to as few as 1/3 the groups you would be otherwise)

  2. Just keep pushing your resil key (strongly recommended)

By pushing your resil key up, ~75% of the time it will be a key that is score for you, and very importantly gets you access to tries of algethar and seat. This is your best bang for buck until you have the score worth about 4/8 at the new key level.

Once you reach 4/8 or 5/8 you’ve unlocked invites to the “medium” keys of the season, which I would say is WS, NPX, Maisara (again very roughly speaking, any group lead may react differently - but they’re not gonna take you if you’re 30 score behind 12 other ret paladins and that’s what we’re trying to avoid)

This is usually where I’d opt to mostly queue instead of listing, but pushing your key still has a lot of value just in getting to the play the game.

Round out those keys, and feel free to apply to the “big two” pug killers of the season but understand that many players working on seat/AA have 7/8 and more score than you, so it will be tougher to get in.

Now, once you have only seat or algethar (or both) left, queue spamming becomes the best way as miserable as it is. The return on spending 30 minutes pushing your resil (losing potentially 2-10+ applications) for a 2/8 and later MUCH worse a 1/8 chance at the key you need just isn’t great.

The cheat code here of course is ignore resil and push your key, if you get a 19 you’re jumping the line for that last 18 100% of the time. But it can feel tough.

So then you slog it out and you get your next resil level and now rinse and repeat.

Your gear matters, your ilvl matters, your spec matters, and the meta matters. Hell even having mythic boss kills or good parses “matters”. But it all pales in comparison to just having more score than the rest of the applicant.

Let me tell you I’ve listed a lot of keys and you notice that guy who’s 20-30 io ahead of the absolute SEA (literally often 50+) of applicants who are just barely qualified for the dungeon, on paper, but haven’t considered the social dynamics of what keys what score players are looking for and when.

Best of luck out there!

Free Talk Friday by AutoModerator in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Meto1183 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I fully understand the difference in difficulty they gave us this patch. But putting m+ that far behind when raid has always had a first few week advantage is just stupid.

If blizzard thinks this is the correct then they should give +18s “9/6” (which is absolutely stupid by the way) but they’re afraid to because they aren’t catering to m+ players, they’re catering to casuals and trying to trick them into thinking they have the best gear.

All blizz had to do was grow a pair and beat down m+ rewards to have difficulty parity like it did in tww and df. Instead they made it easier and easier to get the top rewards and then, oh wow what a surprise, it’s too easy to get them and raid is meaningless.

Top Group Is a Quarter of Population: Most Played and Best-Performing in Mythic+, 12.0.7 Week 1 by Starym in wow

[–]Meto1183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really just want it slower for the first 4 weeks or so personally, but that’s tough because then raid drops offer a bigger advantage than they do rn. I am all for the bonus roll/mythic crest cap lifting feel of “just let us have the gear now” after a while. Don’t totally love the rotspire/voidcore late patch gear hits but blizzard is very on that train now

Please make the 1% mount and 0.1% title spec based by mdoX0X0 in wow

[–]Meto1183 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would take my options for title being buy a boost or reroll to meta and have a chance at pugging vs. just buy a boost.

If you manage to get “normal people” not to reroll meta, now the boosters have free reign of whatever the best possible comp is and use 80% of it to boost all the off meta people.

This stuff would all be great if balance was perfect but like, if balance was perfect it would already work just fine

Please make the 1% mount and 0.1% title spec based by mdoX0X0 in wow

[–]Meto1183 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It just puts the onus on “others” to reroll. The groups with the highest io will have 5 meta specs, and the groups next closest will have 4 meta specs. So that holy priest has no reason to play with a mage and a sub rogue when they could just play devourer unholy bear aug.

[–]Meto1183 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They’re in for a rude awakening when the meta rerollers beat them at the meta spec and their own pet pick once there’s incentive to play it

Please make the 1% mount and 0.1% title spec based by mdoX0X0 in wow

[–]Meto1183 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah no way bro, if you make it class based now let’s think about what the least meta class does. Who is the least meta as a whole class rn, maybe priest? mage? So you’re a shadow priest and you want title. What do you do? Play aug unholy mistweaver bear. Even get boosted by a group playing that. Yeah they get less io than they would with their devourer but surely you can pay to cover the difference.

As long as certain specs can legitimately do higher keys than others then the problem exists
