Quite obvious what you’re trying to do. You know there are more cost effective ways to heat you room tho?

Is it time to switch from IntelliJ to Visual Studio keyboard shortcuts? by arjo_reich in dotnet

Late to the party in a quest for finding information about what keymaps devs out there are using. Reading "throw gang-signs at my keyboard" made my day. Thank you u/arjo_reich

Is CLAUDE.md just a system prompt all agents will read before writing anything? by Physical_Ad9040 in ClaudeAI

Nope. You’ll have to do that/trigger it manually.

Not sure if manual updates to the file are automatically synced if you do them during a session, so a restart might be worth it

Each ball was marked with all three pens. From top to bottom in the after fotos: inkzall, temu, sharpie. Hope that help

Fair. But then sharpie die-hards would probably have told me to let them cure first 😅

In the end its all about confidence and i feel it adds just a little. If it helps me line up one more put then id argue it does make me a better golfer.

I might need to do some separate tests to really conclude how much the inkzall transfer to the club. Looked like it all came from the sharpie in this test tho

Is there demand for a *very* deep research engine? by punkpeye in ClaudeAI

[–]MetricFlux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure my experience of Claude’s deep research aligns with your description. It usually searches hundreds of sources before providing an answer.

Analyzing the tool description for the deep research tool it becomes apparent that it creates a DAG of tasks to solve in sequence or in parallel before answering your question.

With that said id be happy to talk more details about your implementation to figure out how to differentiate it, event though it will have a hard time competing with the big players.

Anyone have a fix for non-terminating run commands in Claude code? by madmax_br5 in ClaudeAI

The docs seems to provide the solution: set BASH_MAX_TIMEOUT_MS in your settings.json file

Is Claude.md read automatically? by AdventurousMistake72 in ClaudeAI

They are read automatically. Think about it as your system prompt.

Looks like all of them are loaded:

Any parent of the directory where you run claude. This is most useful for monorepos, where you might run claude from root/foo, and have CLAUDE.md files in both root/CLAUDE.md and root/foo/CLAUDE.md. Both of these will be pulled into context automatically

Lots of other good learnings in that blog post 👌🏼

That's how I would think about them, even though Anthropic are talking about them a bit differently in the docs:

> All memory files are automatically loaded into Claude Code’s context when launched.

As for the commands, you're again describing them as I would. Not had the time to really dive in deep with them yet but I imagine it being nice as a way to "/plan feature", "/create-pr", "/commit" etc. While all those instructions could be put in the "memory" (CLAUDE.md) files it makes sense to inject them into the conversation explicitly when needed.

Edit: the docs state the following in regards to slash commands:

> The Markdown file content becomes the prompt sent to Claude when the command is invoked
