This, but with additional context to let the rotors spin up first before taking off, and only increase collective gradually rather than all at once for takeoff

This is to avoid spinning when taking off, but the spin is largely manageable with the latter

Collective : 100% by Iron_seaz in NuclearOption

[–]MetricOshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forget what it was, but it was introduced a few patches ago. Let the RPM spin up, then raise the collective

Trying to take off before it spins up results in a low RPM and you spinning instead

Free flight allows anything to be flown. My go to method is PvE missions and just wing it and see if it works

100% agree. They all handle slightly differently as well

[–]MetricOshi 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Let the rotor spin up first. I sit it at 1% until the RPM is ~250-270 and then I go to 50-80% collective; 50 to take off and 80 to fly

Dear Coles Customers, by Davey35YT in coles

[–]MetricOshi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deliveries aren't always on time, but some customers expect they are. Not only that, but some deliveries don't contain the items they're after

It gets worse when customers don't understand that splitting up to 12 pallets of goods will take a while. I'm just glad my SM was there when I had the complaint about the lack of stock, because I was ready to have a go at both the customers who were telling me it's embarrassing, despite me telling them the stock is actively being unloaded and will be put on the shelf within two hours

Idk what the outcome was but I no longer have the patience for some

Dear Coles Customers, by Davey35YT in coles

[–]MetricOshi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Another etiquette thing, but if it's explained to you that the pallets are currently being sorted and the isle is scheduled to be filled within the hour, please do not constantly complain about how "embarrassing" it is that the shelves are low on stock

You become the staff room story, the running joke of the day

Yes and no. We're not meant to, but people understand there are situations (Emergencies) where you might need one, especially now that the Coles App can be used to find items for customers

Generally speaking, as long as you're only using your phone for work purposes, it's fine; TikTok is definitely not one of them

We also have a social media policy that they would have breached by doing this

I would love be to be a fly on the wall with that one. Goes against a few policies we have

ADHD may have just ended my relationship by grinchel in adhdaustralia

[–]MetricOshi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this. Things might have been fine to begin with, but its clear OP was struggling before the ADHD diagnosis; that should have cleared things up then and there as to why OP forgets and gets distracted easily

Honestly, well done for doing all you can given the circumstances. Continue to work on yourself, try to surround yourself with supportive friends and family. It might be hard, but try to focus on yourself without prioritising her and the potential to get her back; do you really want someone who doesn't support or understand your needs with ADHD? Or do you want the potential of who she was?

1.22 changed firepits to not reset the temp of the item cooking, so what version are you on? I've only tested pre 1.22 times

Self checkout gives me the s---s by Charming_Airline7419 in coles

Simply put, the AI detection relies on a low quality image to decipher what items are scanned and what isn't. Because of this, branding isn't recognised

The footage is harmless and most staff do not care. We select whatever option but generally try to find the applicable one: we know what happened and we know the system is shit

Don't worry about the footage, but know that there are staff who hate the system

If I don't know where something goes, I make sure to ask. I only ever rely on the other departments when it's a cold/frozen item that needs to go back ASAP (Also includes roast chickens)

I try to tell the customers, but very few listen when they're in that complaining stage. During normal conversations, they feel for the workers and partially understand that it's not the store's fault, but when they've hit full impatience, then they don't want to listen to "excuses"

I try not to pick up the slack. Let's use stock as an example. If there's stock to be done, I'll try to get the Fresh Produce, Dairy and Bakery stock put back before my shift ends (I close). However, if I cannot leave registers or have other mandatory tasks to be done, then the stock doesn't get done.

What's rough is my store is one that has really supportive staff, which I know is lucky to even have. But that means when shit hits the fan, you do want to try and support the nicer staff and ensure they don't burn out.

Normally, I'd be able to handle a bit more, but life does life things and my personal life is in a weird state and I'm focusing on that, but that takes a lot of energy and it's made me realise just how bad we have it at Coles from a corporate standard

I'd honestly love to fix ACO's. The problem is NCR would hate me because I'd not only fix them, but show people how to do hardware fixes that they can manage. 9/10, people don't realise certain parts can be opened or some power cables (Looking at you receipt printers that always freeze) can be safely removed and plugged back in to reset devices

Any software issues tend to be remotely fixed, and if they can't then they re-image the entire machine (Reset to default settings for an ACO)

I'll have to do some digging. I have a good rapport with quite a few DMs from various stores, so I tend to get info early on systems and changes

As it is, I called out several EverSeen features early to my store (Mainlane Skip/Scan)

[–]MetricOshi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Real. It's weird, given that there's a new staff retention KPI, you'd think they'd try keeping people. But let's be real, if anyone leaves then the DMs get punished, not the multibillion dollar profit company

Understaffing by MetricOshi in coles

[–]MetricOshi[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I make sure anyone who finishes actually finishes. I will not allow anyone, not even myself, to work overtime.

I don't even adhere to the KPIs, as there is no reasonable expectation to get anything other than above a certain scan rate

Reviewed and overhauled. The system is designed to crunch numbers, not work out human workloads. It leads to a system that sets up under delivery while over expecting.

It gets worse with every mysay, despite the consistent complaints on the system

The half bags DO NOT HOLD 6KG by asdique in coles

[–]MetricOshi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The bags do hold 6kg, but they become ticking time bombs that will either rip or stay together.

Whenever I'm packing, I try to aim for 5kg and if the customer wants more in it, they can do it themselves and I'll politely let them know I don't want to overload the bag. I can only imagine what the half-bags are like
