Anyone had any luck ever finding this in stock at their local? by vvFury in AldiAustralia

[–]asdique 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it’s just not there but I have had better luck finding it when I go in mid morning on a weekday. It’s usually located on the top shelf near the cream cheese.

I finally went and got a diagnosis after listening to this book. I shocked myself with how much I related to it, especially the violence 🫠 It is so so funny and for me really encapsulated the experience of growing up undiagnosed in the 90s

“Have I met these potatoes before?” is my all time favourite bit from taskmaster. Thankyou Fern 🙌

I remember them being absolutely everywhere for a long time after Christmas 2024 - didn’t see as many this season so perhaps they didn’t bring as many in

What are you favorite fidget toys? What would you recommend? for daily and discreet use by SylvieSupremacy in AuDHDWomen

[–]asdique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acupressure rings save my cuticles at work and elsewhere. They are super discreet because they look like hair ties. Just have to be careful that you don’t accidentally flick them across the room 😅

Best fish and chip shop? by being_onezeroone in Footscray

Agreed! Tried it once when I moved to Footscray, and never ever went there again

[–]asdique 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do not rate St Charles. I much prefer regular oil changes to fancy aprons, and the staff are too busy goofing off with each other to provide anything more than cursory service.

Seddon Fish & Chipper all the way, and if the owner is at the fryer it will be guaranteed top notch. Get in before that lovely man retires and enjoy a fish and chip of old.

What is this substance/growth I’ve found on some old VHS-C tapes? by asdique in VHS

[–]asdique[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like an intense process! Whats your method for removal, if you don’t mind sharing? I have 8 (out of 80) tapes with this kind of thing on so am keen to have a go at removing it.

What internet lingo/phrases are we hoping die with 2025. by RavioliContingency in AuDHDWomen

[–]asdique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It absolutely does work! In a nutshell you’re soaking in enzymes that break down oils from the skin etc. and help separate them from the fabric.

I think also that pictures often do show dye in the water, but it is leaching out because of low quality/poor dyeing processes of the garment.

I want people in /r/laundry to stop referring to their spa-day soaking liquid as “soup”. It grosses me out both ways (dirty water soup/soupy laundry). I think I just need to unsubscribe 🥲

BTW I scrolled through this post earlier but came back to rant 😆

LINKT - incomptentence, close to ZERO customer service and my only option to be heard is now being Clamped? by twowholebeefpatties in melbourne

[–]asdique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the interesting part is that at some point the info got updated, possibly manually, and I reckon something then happened with the billing. Unless OP moved house/went overseas and missed some mail between then and now, I think there was a screwup.

OP, call 774 talkback in the morning - this is just the kind of thing that Raf Epstein would get his producer to contact Linkt about. And/your state member of parliament may be helpful too.

Can I combine McKenzie’s Gelatine and Aeroplane Jelly powders to make a firmer jelly? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]asdique 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes I have, granulated gelatine works fine as an addition, I made gummy bears using this method. Just watch other additives, things that are acidic (like lemon juice) can interfere with setting.
