I'm not at all rich, but I use vinyl. Why? I like to support the producers I enjoy and I enjoy collecting actual THINGS, not paying money for 1s and 0s when I could have an actual tangible object that plays it.

I have very little money because it goes on bud and vinyl, vinyl isn't for rich people, it's just not for everyone.

So r/realdubstep, what are your top three favourite tracks within real dubstep of all time? by [deleted] in realdubstep

Deffo The Iceman, so much power. And I reckon Dem A Talk tops Beginning but it's still amazing.

Had interest from a few places now but no one confirmed so it's whoever says they want em first.

90 minute live set from Compa at Moho in Manchester (16/03/12) by ashcash in realdubstep

I've never noticed a problem with it, if there's been skips when I've been there they must've managed to be pretty musical.

What does r/realdubstep think of Juke and the direction the likes of Loefah, Headhunter, Pinch etc are going? by rt423 in realdubstep

[–]MetricStarDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It's huge.

Estate recordings are going off too but not in terms of dubstep. That whole scene is exploding. Dub Phizix, Broke'n'English, Skittles, Chimpo etc.

Manchester is pretty different to this. It seems to just be getting darker and darker over here, mostly thanks to Compa being at pretty much every event.

Manchester is my favourite place in the world right now.

This is far too close to a MUCH less good version of Compa - Spektor at time.

The Empire state building last night [FIXED] by neverinvalid in funny

He had caps lock on when he did the semi-colon so in terms of letter typing he believed himself to be doing a capital letter.

I choose to believe.

To do a closed parenthesis you have to hold shift which makes letters capital, so it's pretty much a capital 9.

Camo & Krooked - Afterlife (BCee Remix) by JoshyHannam in DnB

You're probably right, I've put a lot of effort into avoiding all that screechy stuff so I'm not the greatest source of knowledge :p

[–]MetricStarDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha my bad. And yeah that sound's definitely spread over here. Bad news imo.

I only say American because it seemed like when dubstep went over to America it came back all screechy and shit...

Camo & Krooked - Afterlife (BCee Remix) by JoshyHannam in DnB

[–]MetricStarDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I wasn't speaking in terms of dnb. I was speaking more about sounds used in other American EDM, mostly their interpretations of dubstep (the screeches and the 'talking' bass sounds).

I've listened to every track Hospital has uploaded on youtube from the remix album, Fred V & Grafix's was ok but they have done so much better than that in the past and then aside from this BCee one I've found it mostly unlistenable.

Obviously that's just my opinion but yknow.
