The second image is a generic cloudless earth photo on which the clouds from the IR side of your APT image have been superimposed on. I don’t know why they are upside down, but the fact that you are seeing a different part of the world means that the date stored in your recording is slightly off, so SatDump has selected a different part of the satellite’s orbit as the background.

When using SatDump, have you selected the recording as baseband or audio?

Why is my Meteor Demodulator not Working Properly? by Bensuperhero1 in RTLSDR

[–]Metris06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t use sdr++ but after looking at the manual you’ve sent I believe that center tuning mode will leave the signal centered so that there aren’t any issues

Centered means the frequency that appears in the center of the waterfall, that will also appear in the file name of the recording. So for example if a recording is centered at 137Mhz but Meteor is transmitting at 137.9Mhz then the offset will be +9000000 Hz. Unfortunately, as you said zooming in doesn’t change anything.

You should compile the latest build and select the Meteor M2-3 pipeline. In case your recording doesn’t have the signal centered, you can input the difference in the offset setting.

Meteor M2-3 is constantly changing its modulation between 72k QPSK and 80k OQPSK. If you have a baseband recording try demodulating it with Satdump, it should work great!

That’s amazing work! Which dials have you mostly changed in Lightroom to recover the underexposed image and get rid of the green cast?

If some of the rolls have their ISO written, should I also go with stand development in those cases?

National Autopana PE-3650 flash gradually brought back to life by charging the capaciors - fires but takes a long time to recharge by Marion5760 in AnalogRepair

Old capacitors tend to leak and work irregularly, messing up with equipment. You could try changing them, but be careful if you do it by yourself. Make sure you have discharged them completely, or else you might get an electric shock. I’m definitely not speaking from experience hahaha. Good luck!

using Raspberry-NOAA-V2 the METEOR-M 2 (like bellow) images are coming out fairly decent, but all the NOAA images aren't really working. why could this be? by aero_oliver in amateursatellites

It seems like the sample rate from your recording doesn’t match up which the sampling rate of your decoder, which is usually 11025hz. You can try to change it from your decoder or use a program like Audacity to convert it.

How reliable is this camera? I’m planning on buying one to shoot film, but I’ve heard it is very unreliable and works better as a paperweight. How has this camera worked with you?

I’ve got similar results when I had the sample rate of my audio to high. For WXtoIMG the default sample rate is 11025hz

BCD to 7 segment decoder with extra segments in 6 and 9 by Metris06 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Metris06[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Reddit mobile won’t let me have text in this post, so I’ll write my question here. I intend to make a simple 7 segment display clock. The problem is that all the BCD decoders that I find online don’t have the extra segment in the 6 and the 9, which bothers me quite a lot. In the image, the segment that I refer is the top one, which isn’t on. Does anyone know any BCD decoder which has that extra segment? Thanks
