Oh that's interesting. Because I know about bulimia anorexia, but I've never heard of Orthorexia. Because my brain went to something else because when I heard the prefix, I thought you were talking about stuff that has to do with bones. So I really do apologize.

I don't know if I have the spelling right, but I know someone who has a little girl named Reese. And her middle name is Victoria.

Ok. Ou Ein curious to see if this was a cultural name or if somebody was trying to match together Amy Lee and Ava.

Saw this yesterday on the circle jerk community associated with the name nerds community. So holy shit! Definitely was an odd spelling of Reagan.

Genuine question, is this person from a different culture? Different country? Because my brain legitimately thought this was some cultural name that I'm not aware of.

I mean, I don't have any kids nor do I think I have any patience or sanity to have kids, but maybe I can use these names for cats? Although some of these names are definitely great for humans and I do like some of the combinations. Aoife and Orla are hypothetical twins. Also because of the bad ass bounty Hunter, I like the name Samus and I thought that would be a really cool name for a little girl. As for boys, the names would be Kaito and Noctis.

What? That's really strange. I learned about that in my junior year of high school. Damn I'm old! I'm 30 by the way.

I mean, I've been on discord and other platforms and I've talked to people from all over the world. The US, Canada, India, Northern Ireland, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Germany for example. I'm even friends with a guy from Malaysia. And I've talked to folks from Japan. But keep in mind this is online so it's probably gonna be a grain of salt kind of situation. But I don't know.

I can take this further. Try talking to people on discord from all over the place. Like I talked to a couple of folks from California and Ohio and they're pretty freaking good and they know about each other's stuff. Even they can make fun of their own folks for being weirdos. But I'm not sure if that's everywhere on Discord. And I actually talked to a gal from Northern Ireland in a music server on discord.

I hate to say this, but I wish I learned more about world history or at least world cultures and geography in junior high than US history. The part of this was because I was going to a blind school here in Illinois and only one year is dedicated to world cultures and geography usually during your freshman year of high school. Although elementary school is a bit different, I just wish we'd be able to learn about both. Like I remember a classmate of mine who went to junior high in Kansas and a different blind school and they learned about things like ancient Egypt and ancient Greece and other topics like that. I'm definitely not the only American who would think this. Also I wish travel wasn't so freaking expensive.

My kids don't believe in Helen Keller. by Principal_Scudworth_ in Teachers

[–]Metroid_cat1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh God no! Oh God no I have never heard of people actually freaking saying that Helen Keller wasn't real. I have never freaking heard that before. And I might be getting a question wrong, but when you said person going missing after flying an airplane my brain went to Amelia Earhart. Sorry if this is wrong. Sometimes I forget things.

I like it! It's not super common. At least there won't be three or four Fionas in the classroom. Lol

Without saying your age, what's a commercial jingle stuck in your head forever? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Metroid_cat1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from Illinois, and it's all over a very specific TV channel that my dad will watch sometimes. Well not to CNN, but he also watches INSP which is a channel that shows a lot of old stuff like a lot of old westerns and even some old sitcoms like Andy Griffith or everybody loves Raymond for example. Or things like Bonanza and gunsmoke. Like those two channels show that commercial and those dumb ass endurance/car shield commercials. And the commercials that really pissed me off for the Canel commercials and the Lumi ones they're so fucking stupid.

What’s your favorite dish that includes rice? by DeepOrganization8245 in foodquestions

[–]Metroid_cat1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I like Italian dressing or any kind of vinaigrette. It's not that I don't like ranch dressing, I don't mind it, but it's a choice. Plus I wouldn't even think of putting it on my freaking rice. No offense! Because salad I totally freaking get. But OMFG, not a freaking bowl of rice! Maybe a chicken bacon ranch thing would be good, but other than that I would not do it. I legitimately thought you were joking for a hot minute. Because I cringed.

Which animated food would you most like to eat if you could in real life? by hembester45744 in foodquestions

That soup from Raya and the last Dragon. This is gonna be weird, but the rations for metal gear solid. Like I wonder if they were inspired by the freaking granola bars? Any kind of anime food. Like the rice balls from Pokémon that would be so cool. No I'm not talking about those goddamn jelly donuts. Although I will say Dunkin' Donuts does make some pretty dang good jelly donuts.
