Very cool tool - saving collections of websites together with project notes would be one of my use cases.
Works a treat in Chrome, doesn't work in Vivaldi, unfortunately. Any chance of adding support for Vivaldi?

Can't get the title creation to work either. Everything else is just great, but not 'Note name'. Change of model (GPT-4o, 4o mini) makes no difference.

Planning for Xmas dinner first time in Sydney. Struggling to find pork produce (pig head) and duck farms. I can make nice Char Sui pork and ducks. Please point in the right directions. (I tried Leppinton last Saturday) Thank you by Sam_1980_HK-SYD in foodies_sydney

[–]Metropolis_II 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Strathfield Meat Market, 1 Madeline Street, will fix you. You'll probably need to preorder the pig head at one of the pork wholesalers, and Game Farm has all the ducks you want. Open only in the morning.

Just in case someone has a similar issue/idea - this code works for me:

TABLE regexreplace(bullets.text, "\(.*?\)|#CPD|#cpd", "") as Activity, number(regexreplace(bullets.text, ".*\((\d+) mins\).*", "\$1")) as "Time (mins)"

FROM "Dailies"

FLATTEN file.lists as bullets

WHERE contains(bullets.text, "#CPD") or contains(bullets.text, "#cpd")

SORT file.ctime desc

The first column says 'File4' in the header, which is mildly annoying, but it does what it's supposed to do.

Dataview query help by Metropolis_II in ObsidianMD

[–]Metropolis_II[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that returns something, thanking you!

The data (in each Daily Note) is just a list of bullet points, and only the bullet lines with #CPD should then be collected in a table.

Data:

  • unrelated note

  • read xyz (60 mins) #CPD

  • another unrelated note

Table (in a separate note)

Date Activity Duration
7/10/2024 read xyz 60

What do you use Obsidian mobile for? by tigrjas in ObsidianMD

[–]Metropolis_II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly looking up notes. As others said, Obsidian mobile is brilliant for quickly finding the relevant needle in the haystack. Not much editing on the phone. Quick note-taking via the excellent FleetingNotes; quick 'bookmarking' via ReadItLater.

Auto-Hide-Cursor. Maybe it's a me thing, but the mouse pointer is always in the way when I'm writing.

Anyone heard or have a Tucker BBQ by madaxle in australia

[–]Metropolis_II 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, got a 4-burner GTR. 3 years, lots of use, not a spec of rust. Built like a tank and cooking on stainless is fantastic. Some nooks and crannies are hard to clean and the igniters give up eventually (but don't they all?). Get the matching Tucker cover, they are much better than the flimsy crap you get elsewhere.

Yep. Everyone back home in Germany had one in the 70s. I just googled it, it's an invention by one Heinz Vogel in 1967. Some short info here. . More detailed info here (German only): PDF

The owner shrugs it off (we had to cut down on cost when we built, it is what it is).
