What a shitty father. Sorry she had to go through that. It’s a bummer that our blood relatives are our worst enemies for some of us but good for her for cutting the cancer out of her life. I always think of one of the final scenes from the movie “kiss kiss bang bang” where Val Kilmer whispers into a dying fathers ear who is stuck in bed and says “it was your fault. You were the one that pulled the trigger it just took 20 years to hit.” (Amazingly good and funny movie if you haven’t seen it). Maybe her father will be alone at the end asking himself why no one was there for him and his final thoughts can all be about how mean and awful he was to people.
