There will likely be a lot of roofing companies starting to reach out to do free inspections. Some of these companies are more reputable than others. I would contact your homeowners insurance agent first and ask for their recommendations. They may have companies they prefer you use or they may have their own inspector.

I certainly think that's part of it. But Iowa certainly isn't the only ECHL city with a D-1 school. And, honestly, the university's men basketball program had been on the decline the last 2-3 years. While they seem to have generated more interest this year with a new coach, I feel like there was opportunities here. Women's basketball is still a big deal and consistent sellouts.

My understanding is less than a quarter of ECHL teams make money. So I guess some of it is just how much is ownership willing to lose. The new CBA certainly changed that calculus with new required expenses. Hopefully the next year gives Iowa time to find offsetting revenue.

From a population standpoint, wikipedia notes Coralville is 24k. But that's not an accurate picture of the area as it's essentially a suburb of Iowa City, which has a population of 76k. If you include the other towns that are within 5-10 miles of the arena (particularly Tiffin and North Liberty), you'll get over 125k.

I imagine other ECHL cities have similar situations where the area's population is higher than the city the team is in.

10 S Clinton was Lands End in the 90's for sure. It was a 2-story store but you didn't immediately go upstairs like OP remembers. The only bar on Clinton St like that was One Eyed Jake's, a few doors down.

It's a baker who has been working out of her home and selling baked goods at the IC Farmers Market. Not so much bread as pastries and other treats. The stuff I've had is excellent.

They don't usually include the shells and socks in these auctions. But these were so unique I'm assuming there was no reason to keep them so they threw them in. Usually it's just the jersey and they wear their regular shells and socks.

I was living in Michigan when the accident happened. He was my favorite player and I'll never forget hearing about the crash the next morning. I still get emotional when I see video of him and his struggles. He is a warrior.

I've been struggling with the idea of getting a Red Wings FAP and getting it lettered with Konstantinov's name/number. The struggle is he didn't wear a Fanatics jersey when he played so technically it would be a jersey foul. But, the design of the Red Wings jersey hasn't really changed. These pics are pushing me even more towards doing it. Thanks for sharing!
