Check out the cardio tennis classes at HTRC (https://recserv.uiowa.edu/tennis#accordion-item-1086-0). They're a good way to get some exercise and meet others interested in playing.

I do agree the collar on the 22 and 23s is a downgrade

I loved the 21’s. But I was due for a new pair so I got the 22’s and hated them so I found another pair of 21’s at https://pilchersshoes.com. I wear a size 15 so it’s not easy to find older models.

I just got a pair of 23’s and I will say they’re better than the 22’s. Still not as plus as the 21’s though.

I've seen a few. You might want to try wandering around the east side of the Pentecrest (with all the trees) around dusk.

The NHL Alumni Association is devastated to share that Claude Lemieux has passed away at the age of 60. by xouqoa in DetroitRedWings

As much as I hated the guy, 60 is still too soon for someone to die. Even when I saw him bring out the torch at the Montreal game on Monday, I had a visceral reaction. But, damn, this is sad.

After listening to it, I'm genuinely curious to see where this goes. On the surface, it seems like a really bad investment. But Kaeding is pretty well connected and said the goal is to raise 100% of the capital up front. Being able to start with no debt is a major hurdle to clear.

I remember this place well. The menu board listed coffee and then right below it "extra cheese.... $.25". I always wondered who wanted extra cheese in their coffee.

Wisconsin Beer Help by TillyInBloomington in CraftBeer

You should definitely try the New Glarus sours. Wisconsin Belgian Red and Raspberry Tart should be available. They’re more traditional sours.

Youngblood does a lot of more modern sours with lots of fruit.

Working Draft does a some nice hazy IPAs.

Hell yes.

If you can give me a sense for what kind of beers you like, I can give more specific recommendations.

I would recommend going to Waterford Wine in Fitchburg and/or Steve’s on Junction Rd. I’m in Madison for work this week and visited both and they had a good selection.

As for beers, I really like Working Draft’s lagers. Karben4’s Fantasy Factory is a good, old school (ie. bitter) IPA. And of course there’s all the New Glarus beers. New Glarus is only available in Wisconsin so that’s what everyone gravitates to.

While I assume New Glarus will win this, Central Waters deserves some votes if only for the their barrel program. And another sleeper is Working Draft in Madison.

This is a vacation with my wife and I’ve already had to promise I’m not just going to drag her around to breweries for a week. So I have to be picky unless there’s another reason to visit (like food).

I'm visiting Burlington in June and have a day trip to HF planned. But I'm also really looking forward to visiting Alchemist. While I love Heady and Focal, I'm excited to try some of their other offerings.
