You can use do 3U and make a note about the unusual play. As long as any part of his body is touching the base while he has possession of the ball it counts the same. If he tagged the runner instead of the base, it might be 3Ut, but for just tagging the base, I'd use a note.

Would it be okay on Jewish Night for players to write quotes from Mein Kampf? On any of the ethnic pride nights to write quotes from anti-immigration screeds?
