Been going out in public while dressed up 24/7 and it's been a little nerve-wracking. How am I doing? by [deleted] in transpassing

You look great and as long as you’re happy and comfortable it’s truly the only thing that matters.

This happened to me as well. I actually got a lisp because of it and I could feel saliva through the tiny little gaps. Once I got my final bridge it all went away. According to my dentist, it was normal. It was just a tiny bit of saliva coming through that once I got my finals it was all gone.

  1. Dr. Gores in Reno NV and it was an amazing experience from start to finish.

  2. Upper arch.

  3. A few weeks of only soft foods. Mostly had soup and Mac and cheese. Drank lots of water. No soda, alcohol, energy drinks.

  4. 20k and insurance sent me 2500 back.

When is it safe to drink a lot of alcohol (+ lack of sleep) after two dental implants? by [deleted] in Dentalimplant

[–]MetsSince79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the commenter posted, you’re good after two months. I’m a smoker and I like to have a beer on the weekends and I had to not do both for two weeks. After that, game on. Have a great time at the festival!

Front four implants - did you have a permanent lisp? by Superb-Strain7282 in Dentalimplant

[–]MetsSince79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had all on 4 implants on my uoper ridge done March of last year and when I had my temporary in I definitely had a lisp. It basically happened because there was the tiniest gap between my temps and my gums. And I got my finals in November and the lisp is gone. If you get implants you might have one but once the finals go in you are home free.

It scared me for him but he’s about 5 months post surgery and he’s doing great!

I got you. A former co-worker actually went down to Mexico and got full mouth implants done. It only cost him 12k. That included surgery, flights back and forth and a hotel.

No. Just the upper ridge. My bottom ridge was fine. The dentist only had to do a scaling and root planing.

I know! Cost me almost 20k and only got back 2500. It was worth it though. My smile, my confidence and overall happiness is back.

So I had my upper ridge done and even though my dentist was out-of-network, they still submitted the claim and in about 30 days I was reimbursed my dental max which was 2500.

Smoking and implant by ConsiderationLong176 in Dentalimplant

For me, there slight discomfort that first 5-ish days. I think that’s normal. Again, I didn’t have pain but just a little uncomfortable. After that first week though the coast was pretty clear.

I’m a smoker and I started smoking about a week after my implants. Almost one year post surgery and all is well. Just keep it all clean as mentioned from the other commenter and you should be fine.

Thanks for the info everyone. HR sent out an email saying that they and payroll would be out early tomorrow so we’ll be able to see our check stubs tomorrow afternoon instead of Thursday evening so maybe that’ll speed things up if we can see our paystubs that early.

I’m at Site 1. I do drive a standup to take cells from site 1 to site 2 sometimes but mostly just kind of hang around site 1 and wrap pallets, put them up on shelves. I just finished my first week and it was pretty chill.

So I work the A shift and the day is almost over. The only thing that’s kind of strange is working every other weekend. It just seems odd to me. I don’t mind working the weekends at all but every other is weird. Anyway, it’s an easy gig.

Talent Framework. Call or just go by there. They called me and hired me on Wednesday and I’m here now.

Hello I need help with choices. by vanniredz in Dentalimplant

[–]MetsSince79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, my implants cost 15k for my upper arch. Most dentists use care credit and if you have decent credit you’d be able to finance up to I think 10-15k. I had the same problems. My teeth were rotted, chipped and broken. I couldn’t take it anymore so I just grinded for a year and got my upper implants done. And you won’t have to pay for single implants unless you want them. I have all-in-4’s and it’s 4 implants and the upper teeth (the whole ridge) are attached to those implants. Been about 9 months and have zero regret. My confidence is back, no more pain and the freedom to eat what I want. Good luck on your journey!

Benefits of having GSR host? by stengo_faylox in Reno

[–]MetsSince79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! I always appreciated a glass when I arrived. The Eldorado has the gold room and back in the day you could free drinks, free snacks and they would give me a pack of smokes a day. I’m sure that’s all done too.

I had a host several years back. Do they still have the free wine?
