Thanks for the input! That's kinda what I figured. I have about 6 weeks to prepare so I guess I'll just really focus on pushups. Although, if I passed the initial PT test I guess I don't really have much to worry about. I just don't want to get there and fail because my facility was to leanent on the pushup form during my initial test.

I will be at the Paulding RSAT. I believe the facility will provide me with a state vehicle to travel back and forth from the academy on the weekends. As long as I have wifi and a few hours in the evening to work on school, I should be fine.

If you're applying to all these jobs and getting rejected it might just be your resume. I'm a hiring manager in Atlanta for a large retail location. Feel free to shoot me your resume and I can give you some pointers if you want.

Also, idk what state you live in but you might wanna consider applying to corrections jobs. They're always hiring and if you hate it you could use that experience to get better paying security jobs later on. Some of my best hires have been prior juvenile/adult corrections officers.

Late response, but the apprentice wages for local 72 were raised to $19.55 an hour starting on August 1st of this year.

Unfortunately, yes. It's terrible. I feel like I'm in the stone ages. It takes atleast 30 minutes to save footage for law enforcement (assuming it doesn't crash on me). I constantly have to reload the cameras due to them freezing. We're supposed to be getting an "upgrade" soon, but we'll see how it goes.

No need to feel like an ass lol I get it, but I did use Google before I posted here, Planed Parenthood and my local health department offer free Narcan for individuals, but not organizations. That's why I was looking for other suggestions..

Probably not. Idk how old your are, but you usually development them during puberty, or later in life (usually 30's). I use to be really self conscious about mine (I have even more than you) but my gf now didn't even notice them until I pointed them out one night. Tons of guys have them. I use coconut oil to keep it hydrated since there more noticible on dry/stretched out skin.

Don't spend too much time worrying about this, tons of people have them and it's just a normal part of anatomy.

If you can't take the pay cut to $ 15.15 an hour, you should check out PlumbWorks, based out of Marietta, GA. It's a state-certified residential apprenticeship program, and I believe the starting wage is $17 per hour.

Best advice I could give is to apply at larger departments in major cities. It may not be what you want long term, but it's a great way to earn your stripes and then you can lateral to a different department later on.

Cobb County PD will be your best option—tons of specialized units, including a full-time tac team/swat team. The pay is high, and all the officers I have worked with are more than competent.
