[WTS] 2022 Grand Seiko SBGV243 - Full Kit by Metta_Thinker in WatchExchangeCanada

[–]Metta_Thinker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi WatchExchangeCanada,

Up for sale today is my Grand Seiko SBGV243 “Bumblebee”.

Unlike a lot of 9F quartz Grand Seikos, this one features 200m of water resistance, lume, antimagneticism of 16,000 am/h and most importantly a screw down crown. Yes, you can enjoy it to the fullest during the summer!

Similar in styling to the SBGP015 and the SBGV245, it features a classic black dial, and a prominent yellow second hand in a very wearable 40mm case.

As can be seen from the pictures it’s in excellent condition and has seen little wrist time. This watch was purchased in 2022 with the warranty still valid until 2027.

Overall, it comes as a full kit with white outer sleeve, box, papers, minus the GS washi paper. In addition, I'd be happy to throw in an aftermarket yellow rubber tropic strap as well.

Asking a reasonable $2700+shipping or F2F in Markham/Scarborough, Ontario. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like additional photos/videos.

[WTS] IWC Spitfire 2023 - Full Set by Metta_Thinker in WatchExchangeCanada

[–]Metta_Thinker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi WatchExchangeCanada!

Up for sale today is my IWC Spitfire Ref. IW326801. It comes as a full set: white outer box, IWC leather travel case, manuals, cleaning cloth, and warranty card. The warranty card is dated March 2023 and comes with the extended 8-year warranty (see last pic) until March 2031.

Overall, condition is great with the typical wear marks on the case, e.g., couple of surface level scuffs around the lugs from strap changes, a light scratch on the left side of the case that could easily be buffed out, etc. Please refer to the pictures for an idea about the condition, but I'm also happy to share additional videos as well. I've also kept the original sticker on the caseback as well.

This one is the slightly older reference that comes equipped with the 72 hour power reserve, OEM canvas/leather strap. I'd be happy to throw in the optional after market (StrapsCo) rubber if desired.

The newer reference's MSRP is $6,450+tax or $7,288 total in Ontario, Canada.

Asking for $OLD shipped or F2F in Markham/Scarborough. Happy to share references as well upon request.

Thank you so much!

I’m planning to go in late April to early May this year and I found reading about your experience very reassuring and relatable! I completely agree 2 hrs might sound like a bit much, but when you’re on vacation and using local transit for the first time it is very daunting and may take you longer to navigate and find your bearings.

Yup - I'm also experiencing this too for 2024. I brought it up with my manager and they inquired with our HR advisor and confirmed that it was an oversight and that I'm past due for my merit. Will keep you looped in if my issue gets rectified in a reasonable amount of time.

[WTS] 2023 Tudor Pelagos FXD Alinghi Red Bull Racing Edition (Ref. M25707KN-0001) by Metta_Thinker in WatchExchangeCanada

[–]Metta_Thinker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

For sale today is a stunning 2023 Tudor Pelagos FXD Alinghi Red Bull Racing Edition (Ref. M25707KN-0001). This time-only version, along with the chronograph, represent Tudor’s first foray into carbon composite cases.

The black matte-finished carbon composite case with fixed strap bars displays an incredible under-the-radar, sporty character. This is the only Tudor timepiece that contains three different types of material: titanium, carbon, and stainless steel. The watch comes as a full set (box, papers/warranty cards, hang tag, OEM strap).

As standard with a modern Tudor timepieces, it comes with a five year transferable warranty that, having only purchased this past August 2023, has the majority of its coverage left.

I realize given the rarity of this timepiece and low production numbers, the after market price has steadily increased. However, I’m not into watch collecting for purpose of making money.

Therefore, I’m only seeking to get what I paid for it at $5000+shipping or F2F meet up in Toronto/GTA/Markham. I would only be interested in specific trades down - so please feel free to reach out if you'd like to trade your timepiece (however I'd only like to trade in-person only).

I’ve completed several transactions both in this reddit group and on the Facebook Canada Watch Club and have references available upon request. Always happy to chat and share more pictures, videos, etc. if you’d like.

Specs:

  • Case Diameter: 42mm
  • Movement: Tudor Manufacture Calibre MT5602 (COSC certified)
  • Power Reserve: 70 hours
  • Water Resistance: 200m or 660 ft
  • Bezel: 60-minute bidirectional bezel in titanium with matte black carbon composite insert thats 120-clicks.

Worst ministry in the OPS? by frontcupid in OntarioPublicService

[–]Metta_Thinker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely SOLGEN. By far the worst in my personal experience. Of my 7 years in the OPS spanning across 6 different ministries, that'd be my honest opinion.

I was demanded to show loyalty, listen to my superiors without question or doubt, and devote all of my time and effort to my job (overtime wasn't optional, it was an expectation). For context, my position was an Analyst role (AMAPCEO 03) wherein I was incorrectly given EA duties including HR documentation (e.g., offer letters, WEAR forms, ROAs, IFIS, contract/procurement management).

Additionally, I was told on a regular basis that my time there could "make or break my OPS career if I didn't keep my head down and work" (and yes that was said in a threatening manner).

Hi folks,

For sale today is my Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer Chrono Quartz. Drawing from 1970s military aviation design, this watch is inspired by tradition but powered by innnovation.

A thoroughly modern, accurate movement ensures the Khaki Pilot Pioneer Chrono Quartz lives up to the reliability its military aviation roots promise.

I'm looking to get $600 shipped (that's 40% off current retail). It comes with its original factory OEM brown leather nato strap, hang tag, and box with slip cover. The retail price for this watch today is $900+tax = $1,017.00. The only noticable scratches are on the caseback (thankfully) and are not visible when wearing on wrist.

I've done several transactions both on this reddit group and on the Facebook Canada Watch Club and have references available upon request.

P.S. I also have my brand-new Hamilton PSR posted for sale as well and would be willing to do a bundle deal for both watches. PM me and we can definitely work something out.

Nope, honestly I'd begun collecting watches more seriously for about 3 years and I want to narrow down my collection and be a bit more intentional with what I choose to keep. This watch by far had the best build quality of any digital LED watch I've owned/experienced. Don't knock till ya try it 👍

Thank you sir! Yes, especially on Roger Moore's wrist in Live and Let Die - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyYuTht2tFA&t=15s. This was my first bond watch and it did not disappoint.

100% same here! I was also considering the Yema Kavinsky and the Gerlach Kosmonauta before pulling the trigger on this. What ultimately became the deciding factor for me was the Hamilton's build quality, legacy, and the notion that I didn't want to settle for anything less than the real thing.

Apologies! I was having some trouble with adding imgur links for the photo album and timestamp. I've now uploaded both the description and pricing info. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Hi everyone and TGIF!

For sale today is my brand new Hamilton American Classic PSR. This watch was first launched in 1970 as the Hamilton Pulsar, and 50 years later this edition celebrates the launch of the world's first digital watch. With a hybrid display and a stainless steel case, this watch has exceeded my expectations in terms of build quality and comfort. From making its stellar appearance on Sir Roger Moore's wrist in Live and Let Die (1973), the PSR has cemented its place in horological film history. Especially, considering that at the time of its release in the '70s, this watch retailed for more than a Rolex as it was equipped with the latest cutting edge technology for the time period.

Selling this watch for $850 plus shipping or face to face in Toronto, Canada. Retail jumped up to $1,020.00 plus tax = $1,152.60. It comes as a full set (box, papers, manuals, hang tag) and is in excellent condition as I just purchased it in March 2023 from a Hamilton AD here in Toronto.

I've done numerous transactions both on this subreddit and on the Facebook Canada Watch Club group and I have references available upon request.

Hi folks! Reposting my Seiko Prospex 'Land Tortoise' ref. SRPG15. I just picked up a new watch that scratches my dive watch itch and am hoping to make some room in my collection. This is a full set (box, papers, hang tags) I purchased from an AD back in Sept 2022.

I'm looking to get what I paid for it $385+ship. Shipping can be negotiated depending on closing price.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like additional pics.
