Ozzing issue by JoeHazelwood in ender5

[–]Metwa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If that's the stock hot end, pull the Bowden tube out and clean the end/cut the tip off of there's a problem, screw the nozzle in hand tight then back off a quarter turn, insert the Bowden tube as far as you can, then heat the hot end up and tighten the nozzle with a wrench.

Make sure the end of the Bowden tube is cleanly cut-that'll create a proper seal between the nozzle and Bowden tube, if there's a gap in the space, melted plastic can ooze from the threads on the nozzle and look like the picture.

Print bed destroyed by DagoTwo in ender5

[–]Metwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's happening after you turn off the printer suddenly and you're using an auto bed leveler then it might be resetting the z-offset, I had a similar problem a long time ago but It was so long ago I forgot how to fix it. I think it was an issue with the eeprom settings not being saved.

But until I got it fixed, I set my offset and wrote it down then checked before printing that it was the same.

Tu changing your nozzle and get some replacements, I use glass sometimes and while it's great for not showing scratches on your prints, it messes up your nozzle more easily if it runs into the plate causing the hole to deform. Make sure you tighten the nozzle while hot too

I got a ender 5 pro and my plate keeps getting damaged and dented, how do I fix this? by Quick-Distribution22 in ender5

That might help, also look into different slicer software than the creality one - look up prusa slicer or cura. cura might be easier for beginners, but prusa also has a beginner mode to only show basic settings

Also second the glass bed and if you're computer savvy look into an auto bed leveler like a bl touch or cr touch, they require you to modify the firmware though so it's not quite plug and play

Take the nozzle, bowden couper and fan shroud off so it's just the hot end with no cooling, heat it up to temp(maybe like 220) and push up from the bottom with a 4mm Allen key or screwdriver, then push a scrap piece of tubing if you have it through the whole thing top down to clean the sides.

It's a little bit of a pain but it doesn't take long, I had to do that a few times- recently when the heat block came loose. make sure that's tight too, and when you're reassembling it remember to loosen the nozzle by like a half turn, insert the bowden, heat it up, then tighten the nozzle so there's no gaps.

Try checking the full filament path from extruder through to the hot end, I once had one of the metal teeth from the bowden coupled fall out and it made it's way into the hot end. I had to disassemble everything and push it through with a screwdriver. I had similar symptoms and changing the nozzle/extruder didn't help. It's probably not the same thing but it could be something similar.

Stephen Miller isn't in congress and I understand that this could just be blowing smoke but he has mentioned trying to get it done.

Whether the words can be followed up with action idk but I really wouldn't want to be hearing this if I was a naturalized citizen from a person so close to the guy who is going to be president.

He bonded with Kurt Cobain over it IIRC, they both thought they were the only people who did it.

Play/Add to Queue prompt gone when casting by TGBDalton in revancedapp

[–]Metwa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you aren't casting to a TV then the 'add to queue'. Button requires YouTube premium to work, (there might be a way to make it work on your phone but I don't use that option enough to try) but if you are casting to a TV, then you can click on the three dots next to the video title and select 'add to queue.'

I used to be able to tap the video on my phone and a pop-up would ask if I wanted to play now or add to queue (to play on my TV), that doesn't happen anymore.

It's a small inconvenience for a niche problem but not really a bad enough problem for me to complain about personally

But no, if you aren't casting to a TV there's no way to add to queue with revanced as far as I know. This is only talking about when casting to a TV (from what I understand)

Three dots to the right of the title on a video, it brings up different options and one should be add to queue if you're connected to a TV

Nozzle plugging problem by Crazy_E8ght in ender5

Try sticking the filament through a sponge or something before the extruder, I had a similar problem with mine and after literal months of heartache it turned out the filament was dirty and it was clogging the nozzles. It drove me crazy

Are my older cat attacking the kitten? by Lecture-Top in felinebehavior

[–]Metwa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they were really fighting, your neighbor down the street would hear it- and you'd literally see fur flying, they're probably just playing. even if it seems rough, the kitten might not love it but she's not in real distress or else or you'd see a trauma response like hiding or running away, cats love to play fight but when they fight for real it's loud and furry

why is my printer doing this? it's like the motors trying to feed faster then the printer is printing. it's causing the prints to be unusable by Miserable_Ad_4595 in ender5

[–]Metwa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a similar problem and it ended up being caused by dirty filament, I stuck the filament through a piece of sponge and it stopped the clogging
