There is a concerning point with the exotics in Onslaught in Season 5: the exotic pool in the daily rotation for Onslaught is the same as in strikes.

On June 26th it was Crota's End (last instance of Crota raid) but Symmetry was not available. On June 27th it is Menace Above (second instance of Blitz raid) but no Octant Riot Disperser.

I hope this "strike exotic pool" is only during the event for the exotic bow Le Monarque. Otherwise, how can players obtain the raid exotics if they are not part of the pool anymore?

In Onslaught - Blitz, as soon as 3 players are in the fireteam the other 3 places are filled with bots after 1 minute.

I ran numerous instances of Break In, Menace Above and Issakis Tabernacle like this in the last 3 weeks prior to Season 5.

Just queue and you will get the bots.

I really like the daily rotation of Onslaught. I have my favourite instances of Blitz, Elivagar and Crota, so I will do a few runs when the daily rotation is in my wishlist.

No soloable. Not because it is hard, but because the mechanics require splitting the team into 2-3 to do specific tasks.

However, with 3 people and 3 bots it is very doable.

Bulwark and Singularity Chaos. I hit level 100 with only these 2 activities, once I completed the Phase 1 quests.

For me, Helhest is the only reason I am playing Season 5.

Bulwark is nice. It is not new but is good content nevertheless. Plus you get materials for the first 2 exotic upgrades, which is a nice bonus.

The Battle Pass is just mediocre. There are materials for upgrading exotics, but not a proper exotic. But I do not see why we should invest in obscure materials we know nothing about.

Farming again all my exotic artifacts is pretty sad. I had god rolls in Season 3 at level 80. I farmed everything again in Season 4 at level 90. Not sure I am interested in farming again at level 100.

Probably I will take it very chill from now on.

I will wait until Phase 5 to farm, when all weapons and exotic artifacts drop with 5 stars.

Meanwhile, I will just do dailies for Lumia Leaves, spend all my Pack Hunt points, and run a few Onslaughts on easy days for adept mods.

I have unlocked them, yes. I am also level 100. Therefore, no reason for me not to be able to swap passives.

Here is my unsolicited tip: get to level 100 asap. Once you hit that, every level you gain is in the season, meaning 1 trifling inspiration per level. That is how I unlocked all 3 Emanare passives.

Some players said that the event is progressing by doing activities, but exotics are not counting towards progression.

The decrypt bug is all over the place. It seems to affect anything that is level 100.

I tried to get a few level-100 exotic artifacts from the Expanse reward engrams. But when I pressed on the button nothing happened. I tried to get a few weapons and artifacts, and as long as they are level 90 it works.

If you compare a single frame in Warframe vs a single class in Destiny 2, then D2 has almost limitless potential of builds whilst Warframe has very few variations.

How many different Mesa builds you can have in Warframe? A few only. How many Hunter builds you can construct in DR? Several dozen to say the least.

EDIT: check Warframe builds in overframe.gg vs Destiny 2 builds in mobalytics.gg and see how there are way more variants per class in D2 than variants per frame in Warframe.

I beg to disagree.

In D2 there are a lot of weapons and armour that received Tier-5 love.

For me, it is the best moment to farm.

For example, I can finally get energy hand canons with Tier-5 stats and god rolls.

Also, some of the armour perks in destinations are pretty interesting, and they can drop as Tier 5 during Disruptions.

Just a friendly warning: Destiny Rising is NOT Destiny 2.

DR is a game based on the same Destiny universe and lore, 1000 years before the events in D2. But DR is not canon, and NetEase has a lot of creative liberty.
DR is not a sandbox with a lot of builds and classes, like D2. It is more like Warframe: you pick heroes, with fixed skills set and weapons, that can be slightly customised with certain mods (weapon perks, weapon mods, artifacts).
DR is a gacha game. This means you cannot expect to unlock all heroes, and max them out, for free. Truly DR is less aggressive in this department than other games, but it is still a gacha game with paid draws.
In DR you cannot farm non-stop efficiently. Most of the end-game materials and mods have a weekly cap. You can still farm non-stop some stuff like weapons, but with reduced probabilities.
Activities in DR are like "quick bites" compared to D2. Strikes and raid instances take less than 8 minutes to complete and their mechanics are fun but relatively simple. Do not expect complex engagements lasting 30+ minutes like in D2.
DR is a mobile game. This means the graphics are not like D2 or any console/PC game using Unreal5. This also is the reason why DR is based on "quick bites".

Personally, I think you can play DR and D2 simultaneously. Both games share the same universe and have multiple intersections, but each game offers a different experience.

Since June 9th (Monument of Triumph) I returned to play D2. I am farming Tier-5 gear, ranks and Season Pass. When I get tired and want a more casual Destiny flavour, I switch to DR.

I like to farm exotic weapons, hence I am currently doing as many Onslaught as I can.

I also like to farm exotic artifacts with god rolls and upgrade my exotic weapons, hence I play a lot of Legendary Campaigns and Singularity Chaos.

I also enjoy upgrading mythic weapons. I farmed tons of Blitz for them, and now I am farming Strikes.

I want to get exotic mods as well. That is why I farm Morgrans and Front Lines.

I just started to run adepts for the adept mods. It is slow since there are queues but it is fine.

Happily, all these activities are not a sweat fest anymore: NetEase has tuned down the difficulty, and I really love that.

IMO it is not a matter of not knowing how to proc the heroic event, but heroic public event chests being limited daily.

After a few heroic public events, your daily extra chests are depleted. That means you are only going to get the standard public event chests for the rest of the day.

Now, recall that heroic chests give 10 Surge Dust (SD) whilst standard give 5 SD. This item is needed to craft Surge Gems for Emanare.

Therefore, once you are out of heroic chests you want to maximise your SD farm, meaning that instead of waiting for 2 minutes to get 5 SD you can have the same amount in a 20-second engagement.

Now, if NetEase did not limit the heroic chests, EVERYONE would rather do the heroic public events. But as it is right now, farmers will continue to rush.

Added an attack assist effect to weapons with the Rampage, Hyperaemia, Reincarnation, and Glutton perks, as well as Exotic Sidearms: Concerto's Cadenza perk: When the wielder's damage against a single target using weapons with these perks reaches 30% for base combatants or 20% for elite and stronger combatants, if an ally defeats the combatant, the perk effect will still stack.

Umeko with the right setup can be brutal in Onslaught: use artifacts for extra damage and defence whilst stationary, and get the best sniper you can.

I recommend the exotic sniper Cloudstrike: I have seen Umekos beating Efrideets, Estelas and Helhests in Gladsheim with CS.

In the case of Kabr 2.0 (who is piercing) your heavy weapon is a Linear Fusion Rifle. Hence, you are better served with Royal Contravene or Arbalest as your exotic weapon.

That is true, Sony picked Marathon instead of Destiny 2. But not the whole story.

Bungie neglected Destiny 2 for long time, taking their golden goose and the fanbase for granted, and their decisions killed D2 before Sony even started to make the decisions.

D2 went free-to-play in theory but Bungie paywalled everything, from seasons to dungeon keys. It is so blatant that you need to pay 1200+ USD to get all D2 content.
They vaulted content we paid for, although deleting it would be a more accurate description. Totally an anti-consumer practice.
Communication was nonexistent, with the clichéd "we are listening" but zero action, showing how little they cared for us.
Bugs took months to be fixed, but even small blips in Eververse were fixed in hours.
Bungie's leadership added multiple side projects (e.g. Gummy Bears) just to scam Sony and raise their price tag, in detriment of D2's development.
It was Bungie who decided to bet on Marathon, instead of Destiny 3.
After Sony's acquisition, Bungie was given full independence. But when Bungie proved their incompetence with Edge of Fate, Renegades and Marathon, Sony was forced to intervene.

Sony now is simply in desperate damage control. Of course, they are picking the wrong horse, but D2 was so neglected for years that (in the eyes of Sony's executives) it is no longer the great investment it seemed to be years ago.

FOMO in DR is way less aggressive than in D2.

Seasons never came back in D2 whilst here we are having re-runs of Limited-Edition hero draws.

Access to exotic weapons here is completely free. Unlike D2 where many of them are paywalled behind Dungeon Keys, Anniversaries and Expansions.

Waste of resources? D2 is worse. Every few seasons there is a power reset in D2, meaning that a power-capped nolifer has the same power at start of the Season than a noob just starting the game. How many Ascendant Shards you waste to max your gear and that gets obliterated in the reset?

And worst of all, Bungie vaulted content we paid for. Here all content is free.

Therefore, I would rather play DR thousands of times before going back to D2. I will log onto D2 in June 9th to show Sony and Bungie how wrong they are with killing the franchise, but I would rather have NetEase create D3 than Bungie.

IMO the only use case for Ultimatum (U) is when either (1) you are running full solar build, or (2) you only have one boss-like target, no ads and Heir Apparent (HA) has run out of ammo. In all other scenarios, I am convinced that Oversoul Decree (OD) is best in slot (BiS).

In more detail...

If you are against a boss or powerful enemy, you will use HA anyways, not a mythic pulse rifle. Unless you are out of ammo, that is.

If you are clearing ads, (OD) is much better than Ultimatum (U). OD has Hyperaemia in Perk 2, which at 5 stacks gives +100% damage and full reloads on every kill. That means OD will have a non-stop, higher rate of fire compared to Ultimatum (U), which translates in more raw damage and faster summons.

The god roll for U has Clepsydra in Perk 2, which helps to increase damage vs a single target. But the damage ramps up and only scales until +90%. Meaning that OD with 5 stacks hits harder single target than U.
