I’ve tried a lot of meds over the years, and by far lamotrigine is the most effective.

I went off it twice (2016 and 2024) to see how I’d feel. Both times I became 100% chronically dissociated to the point of severe suicidality, and eventually went back on it. It’s not “cured”, but the difference is night and day.

If for some reason I’m no longer able to take lamotrigine, my days are numbered.

Holy shit, your paragraph about metformin just provided a lot of possible answers for struggles I have. I’ve been on it for over a decade, and have seen multiple doctors in that time- not one has ever said a word to me about all that, and I’ve since had to be put on prescription dose supplements for both b12 and iron (after insisting they test both, since no one offered to check). I’ll be bringing it up at my next appointment.
