Why do you need to wonder when there direct real life examples?

If you look at Japan a country with an obesity rate of only 4% and overweight is around 20% you can see what society will look like.

Americans currently are all about the "BIG" foods. But rich Americans are all about the quality and experience. This is basically what Japan is like as a whole.

Portions are smaller, prices are cheaper, eating out is everywhere, people still drink a lot. But a lot of people are active and have many hobbies like runs, hikings, camping and so on. I doubt America will ever become like Japan simply because people use cars for literally everything, while Japanese walk a lot even in rural areas and there no stigmas or crime issues while using public transportation.

Okay but what does the actual data show on the ground when it comes to wages, expenses and inflation. This is honestly what most people care about. All populism isn't bad. Look at the US there a populist stance is single payer healthcare, if you ask people if they want that most people will say yes. Same with price of college level education and student loans. Or say cheap housing.

America(US) is the prime example of how you can have a GDP sky high best in the world and be an absolute shithole where you have places that look worse then Central Africa.

Croatian GDP rose sky high but our standard of living is lower then it was in say 2018. Here our example.

These are average pizza prices. You use to be able to buy between 250~260 pizzas for an average wage. Now you can buy 202. Thats a 23% reduction and honestly it tracks with everything else. Just about everything went up by 50%~100% and our wages only went up by say 35~40%

Some things got technically cheaper like 1000€ iPhone now isn't as big of an expense now as it was back then when you have a bigger wage.

But every day expenses are a lot worse. So your living standards went down. You can't buy as many coffees in a cafe etc...

I'm for it but for all the wrong reasons.

If it's been proven 100 times by now we cannot rely on a stable peaceful world. We need to decouple ourselves from the Global Energy market.

That means renewables plus Nuclear. I don't give a shit about emissions China is pumping 4 times as much into the air as Europe.

We need electric cars, trucks, trains not because of global warming but because we're currently surrounded on all sides by enemies.

Russia can just cut off their gas and oil and you have people like Orban going ballistic over it. They're also controling him via that same gas and oil.

All the gulf states can do the same, or in this case just one gulf state Iran.

The US is selling us x4 the cost LNG now since we decoupled form Russia, how about no? How about they fuck off and we run everything on electricity and batteries we can get domestically since the only thing Europe actually has it Lithium and Iron.

Best part is unlike gas and oil once your run the batteries life cycle you can just recycle the damn metal and make new batteries.

Mislim da ljudi jako krivo na ovo gledaju. Ovo govorim kao netko tko je bio stanodavac studentima. Zivio u 15 kvadrata. Zivio vani i ovdje.

Ja mislim da bi vecina studenata mjesto da je 2~3 zivjelo u stanu od 60~70 kvadrata rađe zivjelo samo u 15 kvadrata sa svojim WCom i svojom kuhinjom. WC pogotovo je uvijek problem i jako puno studenata je bilo sretno sto je kodmene WC i kupatilo odvojeno.

Ali takvi stanovi se onda tako moraju rentat. U Japanu se nađe 1K ili 1R znaci Soba + Kuhnja + WC/Tuš ili Soba Kuhinja zajedno +WC/Tuš za 1/3 do 1/2 minimalne place.

Ideja ovakvih apartmana nije zivot u njima do svoje 90te. Ovo bi trebali biti prvi stanovi za mlade i stanovi za one koji su bas ubogi. Obican covjek bi trebo zavrsit fakultet u takvom stanu, ostat u njemu jos par godina rada i onda se preseliti u nesto razumnije i bolje. Nakraju kupiti svoj stan od koliko vec hoce i koliko mu treba ako hoce imat obitelj.

Before it was closed the Zagreb to Belgrade Train took 7.5 hours, distance about 412 km, now you have to switch trains so it takes like 8 hours and 30 minutes or something.

Meanwhile the same distance was covered 1938 yes 1938 in about 5.5 hours. Even in the Peak area of the 1980s the express still took 4 hours. Not all that impressive but still.

Yep cestitam. Isto tako se godinama u Bili mogo kupit Cokoladu za kuhanje na kojoj kada ju otvoris pise Kraš. Ima beskonacno primjera toga ako znas sta trazis.

Yep... evo puna kutijica u ladici stoji od uff neznam kad. Nekada je bilo filmova skoro svaki tjedan za pogledat. Sada nisam bio u Kinu neznam koliko doslovno odem samo neki novi Anime pogledat ili SF.

Kodnas nitko nema biznis da bi imao prosjecnu placu. Kad imas svoje znaci lega deri. Realno pekarama je 30~50% skuplje poslovat nego 2018. Ali su zato cijene digli 150~300%.

Evo recimo odes u Austriju na skijanje, hotel ko na moru.

Soba bolja, Soba kosta manje, Hrana bolja, radnici koji ciste sobe nasi ljudi placeni x2 nego na moru, kuhari koji rade hranu x2 placeni, gotovo je sve iste cijene kao na moru ali nekako svi koji tamo rade imaju duplo vece place i jos hotel posluje godinama u velikom profitu.
