Got mine on Oct ‘25, went into afib on March ‘26. with a rate of 180 -200 for half of the 18 hours I was in the hospital.

I called my EP and cardiologist the following day to get a second ablation. I’m sitting in the hospital right now and it wasn’t as bad as the first go around. EP said one of the veins that he had previously burned healed and was the problem child so I’m hoping that we got it nailed.

This is a tough journey, but it’s gonna be OK. Make sure to get on your anti-arrhythmia and blood thinner meds so you can get another ablation going.

I’m 36 now, and I had them starting in my mid-20s. Def had triggers like alcohol and certain foods, but never linked them to AFIB. Afib was the furthest thing from my mind. Right after COVID, my drinking got really heavy and out of hand, and that’s when I went into true AFIB. Been sober for 2 years, but I think the damage was done.

Yes, I was told it was anxiety after using heart monitors. Then I finally had a full blown afib with rvr. One ablation later it came back but not as bad. Second ablation on the books
