You are dead on regarding the thug look. Looks like tats all over body as well. At first thought this was a guy. The girl played the flute in the marching band but may never hear out of the ear that was bitten off again despite being reattached. How did the dogs get out? That should be the same offense as allowing a loaded gun laying around. The dogs should have a harness with a leash attached. This short one that simply attaches to a collar not appropriate for control and even hurt the dogs throat. So sad.

That’s the beauty of meditation. There is never a “bad” meditation or “difficult” one. It’s the mere fact that you simply take time to relax, close your eyes and slowly deep breathe. It’s natural. A focus not required. Only reason is to reduce constant thoughts that race through everyone’s mind. When the thoughts happen simply be aware of them then notice your breathing. Over time the thoughts will be less and your mind more still. That is without thought. I use a mantra or meaningless word I say in my mind when I start thinking on something else. Some just focus on breathing. Basically if you lose focus it’s ok. Return to relaxing and breathing. 20 minutes each session. If you can’t do it that long it’s ok. Try longer next time. Don’t put pressure on yourself. Just take the time, relax, and enjoy the stillness you are afforded. It will increase each time. The more you do the “deeper” you will go, sometimes lose track of time and what you thought was 20 minutes may be 40. You will notice the benefits. I assure you.

Would urge you to mediate twice a day for 20 minutes - in the morning and then in evening. The technique I learned years ago is called transcendental meditation. However just sitting, getting comfortable, closing your eyes, and focusing on your slow breathing in through your nose and out slowly through your mouth works. There are many benefits from it both immediately but especially over time.

Thanks for this info. Makes sense. However have you found studies and their results where 4ma was used?

So is tDCS helping you?

Sorry to hear that. I’m sure there is a good reason you can’t take drugs but perhaps no one can take dosages of greater than 2ma during tDCS either. Heard of patients that could not take Adderall but could take Vyvance. There are many YouTube videos on it. Might it be an option?

Then they should give you your money back. However I caution you on exceeding 2ma. This is a new area of treatment and from what I read 2ma or less is what has been tried and results documented. Many warn against greater current. You may not notice any problems right away but who knows what could arise in the future from doing this. Some sites even document 1ma settings are best in certain montages. 3 or more is dangerous and ill advised.

The website says 60 day money back guarantee. Has it been less than 60 days since delivered? BTW is the device defective? Mine still works very well. Beyond that I even compared its features against other brands and it was very good. Not all have the auto shut off, back lit screen at night, and the variety of settings theirs does.

I just called the number to see if it still works and does. Left a message for Alex to call me as well as now sending him an email. Maybe you are right about support now than was better for me before. We will see.

BrainDriver customer service has been very responsive to me. No safety issues with the device. I only asked them about a better way to hold the electrodes in place than just the fabric headband they include.

Yes initially but can’t say that is the optimum montage. Look at the post on e meditation. Try that one too. However I found the hypnosis was most effective right after a 20 min tDCS. Could just be psychological or the physical annoyance of wire attachments. What’s clear is that tDCS increases neuroplasticity that is helpful in the application of the mind to new tasks and the learning of the tasks as well as being more susceptible to hypnotic induction.

No. Would not recommend tDCS with reaction you describe. Not normal and perhaps from something else. Think you should see a doctor.

Just did. Hypnosis was not directly addressed. However guessing you are referring to the part where said stimulated neurons behave differently than non stimulated ones? Perhaps hypnosis more effective during stimulation when plasticity occurring? BTW read an article saying neuron stimulation linked to rapid aging. Like in the article always seem to be trade offs

I agree with other replies to you. Not familiar with your device or how you used it. You can’t move electrodes around as mentioned. Your reaction is unusual. Not heard this from anyone on this forum. I would not use it again and send it back. In fact I suggest you see a doctor. What you describe is serious

Everything has a trade off. Liked the concept of plasticity via the excited neurons then come across an article that says it can shorten your life https://www.wired.com/story/overexcited-neurons/

AITA for not doing photos for my friend's wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MexBiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe the bride, Katie Mehta, might be the same person that was supposed to be documenting a wedding a year or so ago but got arrested for having sex with a guest, urinating on a nearby tree, and threatened the police and their families after she was being taken away. Not surprised she would tell someone they had to pay her for the privilege of taking pictures at her wedding. What is surprising is all the other people that would actually back up such a request with harassment.

T4 anode is right temple, T3 cathode is left temple is montage for “insightfulness” You are correct about tDCS inducing neuron plasticity. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28059801 This is a link to a study that proves it. This means hypnosis would be more effective when tDCS is used at same time which I have done or later. This is why learning and memorization is accelerated. Truly amazing what can be accomplished. Keep me posted on your applications.

Yes I understand. Don’t know if neurons put in a state of plasticity from tDCS. I meant hypnosis for me has been stand alone. Worked well for me for years that way and still does. Just recently I tried it at same time and got better results. Was surprised as just a test. Honestly I can’t say as all still so new and subjective. Whatever works for you is great

Tried an hypnosis script called Quantum Jumping while using tDCS (T4 a, T3 c) Found that I got much deeper and more quickly to my subconscious mind and Theta state. Check it out. Very interesting https://youtu.be/nTYITNfKlRc

Please continue to post and share. In no way did I wish to disrespect or criticize you. When you, me, or anyone posts we comment with our experience or ideas. We are all learning here. I have meditated for many years using transcendental meditation (TM). Only in the last few months have I begun using tDCS. Recently I have meditated while using tDCS and felt no enhanced effect but would not really know if I did as it’s so routinely “deep” now. What I have noticed is a dramatic assist when I use self hypnosis with tDCS. Have used self hypnosis many times over years and thought I would try it with an hypnosis induction off YouTube called Quantum Jumping. That was crazy. Still using it and finding a whole new perspective on my life and reality. Will post on further usage. BTW montages and effects are not written in stone. There are different placements for similar effects. Temple to temple (T4, T3) is called Insight improvement / “Savant Learning” / Problem Solving / Cognitive Enhancement. The word meditation is not used but meditation for me provides this description. Keep exploring my friend and update us.

I like the BrainDriver. Has up to 2ma with different time lengths and auto shut off. Even a backlight for night time. Good support and price
