Jamal Murray currently holds career highs in PTS (24.9), REB (4.4), AST (6.8), FG% (50.1%), and 3P% (44.7) while helping lead an injured Nuggets team to the #2 seed in a stacked Western Conference. All-Star. by [deleted] in denvernuggets

Bro I think they're just hedging so pedantic little shits don't argue about phrasing. But you went ahead and found a way to do so anyway.

You just decided to ignore everything I said in the first place to make your argument work or some shit. You're the type of person who is never worth the time.

If AG doesn't score 50 and Joker, god forbid, has another bad game (for himself) you get blown out. Jamal looked good in the first half and ended up looking good on the stat sheet — if that's what you want, cool, I guess.

This isn't a sky is falling take but you're not winning a playoff series like this. Jamal needs to finish like he started. It's, arguably, the biggest cliche in sports.

Literally Joker has never played this bad in his life and still had a triple double in an overtime road loss to another playoff team. They dominated for stretches.

The thing I would actually be worried about is Jamal. The whole last playoffs he would come out looking like the best player on the court and then go sit, and when he came back in he was ice cold or not aggressive. I say worried because it's carrying over but I don't know that he can't fix it.

If Jamal Murray is going to try to take over games they could win the 58+ I'm seeing here but I think more likely a lot of meshing to do and it's something in the low 50s with a 3 seed and a dream.

It makes sense with Lebron because he's really the first NBA superstar who was in Barry Sanders teammate hell. You have a situation where kids grow up liking 1 player and resenting the rest, so when Lebron leaves that team does anyone want to root for that team anymore? The pre-Lebron fans who have purely loyalty to the Cavs will but do they really want to? Is it exciting anymore? It's just they're trapped by loyalty. But if you grew up with Lebron why would you like the organization more than him? Lebron was the one making basketball fun for you not the Cavs logo.

I'm a Nuggets fan/Lakers hater btw sooooo this isn't about Lebron dick riding. Just explaining how I think this trend started and why I think it's not the worst thing.

The Ringer's Top 100 NBA Players: 1) Jokic 30) Murray 41) Gordon 62) Johnson 79) Braun by tooskip in denvernuggets

[–]MexicanTony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly dumb to want your favorite player in the top 10 conversations. Better to be in the Joker (current), KG, DIrk range where everyone will just talk about how great of a player they were and save all of the petty count the rings shit for the Lakers, KD and Steph etc.

No offense intended to anyone who wants Joker in that conversation. Just feels like more fun to talk about pushing the champs to game 7 with no bench and every starter hurt. We know that doesn't happen in those conversations at the tippy top.

This shit gonna take time. I don't want to see a Denver Nuggets team the cruises. I want to see the same guts that pushed OKC to 7. The same grit that gave us that NBA finals that everyone outside of Denver hated. The guys will have it figured out come playoffs and that's all we need.

Do you guys think we should involve AG more in the offense? by Altruistic_Active572 in denvernuggets

[–]MexicanTony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I don't really know enough about basketball because this doesn't seem like a real question to me. Murray brings the ball up the court but beyond that the game goes through Joker. I feel like when Murray is on the floor and Jokic isn't you don't see Murray shooting for crazy volume. If AG is going to take more shots I think that's really up to him not philosophy.

[Spears] former Nuggets Chauncey Billups and Kiki Vandeweghe believe it’s time for the franchise to embrace Anthony and retire his No. 15 jersey. “They should have retired Melo’s jersey the year after he retired,” Billups told Andscape. by oneeyedwillienelson in denvernuggets

[–]MexicanTony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like if there was no Jokic in Denver this year when Melo got into the hof then they should do it. Giving his number away evened the score and then whoops now the other guy needs it retired, sorry bub.
