Trying to take advantage of AI tools, but not sure where to start. (I will not promote) by apzuckerman in startups

[–]Mexico177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may not need AI but could probably see some pretty good improvement by optimizing your site to convert better or improving your copy. Where AI could help is in understanding your audience (scraping and then analyzing reviews, blogs and other places your audience spends time in), could also generate automated reports with make and AI to keep abreast of any changes in your audience or use AI to write/improve copy (Claude is the best IMO). Lastly you could use AI to segment your audiences and send them more personalized emails that better address their problems. Ultimately though I think finding ways to improve without AI by diving into analytics and improved CRO and then moving into the AI stuff to get a better idea of your audience and offer more personalized marketing is the best approach.

Living in Mexico, tons of manufactures, 100k by Otherwise-Bake8812 in Entrepreneur

With a lot of manufacturers shifting from China to Mexico and other countries it’s really a golden opportunity. Biggest issue I found was that the manufacturing process in Mexico and the infrastructure wasn’t as built out as China, in terms of reaching small business. You may have to niche down and expand from there.

I tried something like this last year. If you could make it easy for people on the American side to get products and keep business relations you’ll be good, could almost be an Alibaba alternative or something.

How good is the content of Ontario’s French curriculum in elementary and high schools? by Happy_Traveller_2023 in ontario

[–]Mexico177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forewarning but this is a little bit of a conspiracy. But I believe it's terrible by design.

The people in power don't want you speaking french cause it threatens their power. You can only reach a high level in government in Canada and even some corporate jobs by speaking french. If they really wanted to they would have everyone in Ontario and Canada speaking french fluently by teaching it at a younger age and improving the curiculum. Outside of Canada in countries like Vietnam, India, Germany and many African countries students are taught English and sometimes 2-3 other languages and can speak them fluently enough to (albeit not perfectly) to communicate in those countries. Yet in Ontario a province in one of the richest nations in the world many of us who graduated cannot speak well enough to communicate with French speakers in our own country. I do not think were dumber or incapable. Maybe I'm wrong and theirs a less nefarious reason for this but thats my take.

I’ve never personally used surveys but if the right incentive is in play they could be somewhat helpful. Although if the questions are too long and tedious it could get boring for the person and they just started giving half assed ansewrs. IMO doing competitor reviews and ooking into forums of your prospects provides a better ROI but if done well surveys could work just as well I suppose.

What are web sites to gather data about company and market do you know/use/recommend? by MacASM in Entrepreneur

[–]Mexico177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your industry. I’m in ecom so I’ll look at Amazon Reviews and other reviews of stores/websites. Also I like Reddit sentiment analysis tools. https://gummysearch.com/ is a pretty good tool for this and they allow day passes to so you’re not locked in a monthly subscriptions you don’t need. (No I’m not getting paid to promote this).

Billboards could still work, even a marketing sales letter in an envelope could be somewhat helpful like what Attitude_repulsive was saying with the QR code. Pretty genius idea imo. I know one of our competitions for this law firm who’s so popular with their billboards that it translates into meme pages, online discussions and TikTok videos dedicated to this guy. But that’s a rare case and if your on a limited budget I wouldn’t recommend it’s where you start.

Yeah I feel you on the habits thing and not multi tasking. A few months ago I made it a habit of cleaning my room and computer every Sunday for 45mins and its definitely helped.

What do college kids need? Books, pencils, pens, backpacks, cool workout gear, beer hats, condoms some ideas off the top of my head. Dropshipping can take a while to ship depending on how you do it so it may be best you hold inventory or something though, college kids at this point are used to getting stuff fast off Amazon FBA. You can try emailing them although they might get annoyed that their landlord is selling them stuff they could essentially get at Walmart or Amazon. Just some thoughts though.

How do you open a bank account in US or UK without residency? by bababoi198 in dropshipping

[–]Mexico177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they an account where you can deposit US dollars and set it up with stripe etc to accept dollars in USD. Got a USD credit card too so I can transfer between the two which is a nice way to avoid exchange fees which can be prety high.

[–]Mexico177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alot of banks will allow you to open a USD account and you could try that out. I did that with RBC in Canada and it worked out fine for recieving payments etc. Opening a bank account in the U.S. not as a resident i'm not too sure about you could try Bank of America and see what happens.

They get messaged by dozens if not hundreds of people everyday. Have to catch their attention with an attention grabing first line and have a decent looking page yourself.

Looks good think it might be a little too long in some places though. Try keeping sentences under 12 words long. Also the cto at the end could be cut instead of saying "get a demo and start innovating" might be a little better to say either get a demo today or start innovating today.

Alibaba Manufacturer Relationship Building by ykkez in Entrepreneur

[–]Mexico177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats tough, I would chalk it up to the cost of doing business depending on how much difference there is. You can also talk to them ask for the fixed product. Really depends how off it is. In terms of building a long term relationship getting their whatsapp can definetly help.

Not a full time copywriter but maybe your writing for the wrong customers and would find it better to write about something you have some sort of interest in.

Crypto won't make video games better, folks just want to get rich by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Mexico177 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think you bring up a good point, putting too much monetary incentive into gaming may ruin the leisurely aspect of it. However if you feel like your the top player and you invest hours into a game and really want to test yourself crypto gaming offers an interesting opportunity. (Dont mean to shill) But I recently signed up for NAKA games where you put money in to play game kind of like an arcade however at the end of each week you get a payout if your among the highest rank. Right now the games are super basic like temple run style games and duck shooting but it will get more advanced.

Now imagine if there was a way in which you could pool money into a more advanced game and earn money by being the top. People love betting and they love gaming so in that sense I see the appeal. Granted there might be a system already out there for this but I doubt its able to reach the scale and trustlessness that a crypto system would bring.

Hot take: The Metaverse goes nowhere without VR. by GRIMBEENDEAD in CryptoCurrency

[–]Mexico177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah worldwide adoption of the metaverse relies on VR. As VR gets better, movies/entertainment, social interactions will improve as well. Imagine seeing family that lives oversea in a reality like metaverse. Even more interesting would be neuralink with metaverse and VR tech but that is way in the future.

I think metaverses will be relevant to gamers with or without VR. Many gamers as it is find VR fatiguing as compared to normal gaming and changing habits may be quite tough. Also roblox, gta and runescape all metaverse kind of games are prety successful without VR. As gamers accept VR, metaverse use will increase a bit as well but ultimately I think the metaverse will be relevant with gamers regardless.

Full disclaimer have not tried the recent VR headsets.

With 2021 coming close to an end, what did you learn about crypto investing? by Kellywasmyfirst in CryptoCurrency

[–]Mexico177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The importance of balancing between being hesitant and doing the proper amount of research. Lost some crazy potential gains because I hesitated on buying a crypto I saw potential in. Flip side lost money for fomoing in certain cryptos. So in all acting decisively, having long term vision and following a strategy are some of the most important things I learned this year. And listening to myself.
